NFL 2025

Parsons to Packers..

And with that Cowboys "Its our year" to "next year is our year" cycle is earlier than usual.

2 x 1st round picks and DT Kenny Clark (3 x pro bowl).
I’m fine with it. Got tired of Parsons attitude.
The Packers gave him an Insane contract.

That's insane. He's in the same category as Reggie White, mate... This is every bit as bad as the Luca trade. Jerry Jones allows his insatiable desire to be talked about to ruin your team yet again.

This trade is as bananas as when SF traded their dominant pass rusher to Dallas in the early 90s. Dallas has done almost EXACTLY the same thing here.

Nah, it’s not as bad as that trade.
Parsons was a generational player, no doubt.
But I’m fed up with the podcast as everything around him.
Dallas weren’t a play off team WITH him anyway. Let’s see what happens with 4 x 1s in two years and 40 mill + in cap space to get Bland, Tyler Smith and potentially Pickens done.

We move on.

Yah the Haley trade only looks bonkers because it was the final piece in a puzzle that saw the 3 in 4 stretch (which may have been 4 if it wasn't for a horrible missed PI by Primetime on Irvin ... ha ha). Maybe it will be seen more like the White (Philly => GB) trade, if Micah wins a chip or two.

Listen, he's great. Not going to say he isn't. Is he as great as I thought he was? No - he struggled against the better teams and in the playoffs, when all the spot light was on him. That being said, are we a better team with him? Yes. Are we worse off without him? I don't know - and the reason I say that there's enough noise from last year about how his podcast was rubbing people off the wrong way - not the front office etc, but players ... think Hooker's interview, and Machota has touched on it too, as as Broaddus and others on the Fan.

This doesn't hurt nearly as much as the luka trade (Mavs fan too ... waiting for the stars to pull a similar stunt too - maybe the Rangers will trade Langford rofl). Luka trade got back an injury prone star and 1 pick ... Here we get a player who's present (availability is an important trait in this game), and 2 first round picks - we're a good drafting team, so hopefully it will make our young nucleus better (and give us $$$ to sign Tyler Smith, who's a stud, and Pickens, assuming he's not insane).

OH well, I'm not that fussed ... Having waited 30 years to watch Liverpool win a league, I'm over half way through this wait too ... It will be ok.

Eh? You are literally at the 30 year mark.. well.. over it now.

It is, though. You've just given GB, already a contender to go to the Super Bowl the best pass rusher in the game. Why would you give him to GB? Your point about not being good with him either is very valid, though... Considering the future now makes sense for the Cowboys.

If only anybody in Dallas honestly thought that's why Jerry did this.

Why? We dont know who else would have thrown their hat in the ring. Green Bay havent got a good enough QB to win the Super Bowl imho, regardless. And they probably have to win now given the outgoing contracts, no 1st round picks and big pay days coming.

Love is good enough in my opinion.

I don’t think so, but let’s see which version of Love shows up this season.
I don’t think the Packers will win the SB.

The trade is done now anyway, so we move on.
Cowboys playing tonight. I don’t even know what to expect. @LeTallecWiz

They don't have a top QB, that's for sure... But more than one bus driver has riden a dominant defense to the Super Bowl... It's gonna be interesting.
