[article]The Compton cricket club, which includes former gang members and players from LA's toughest neighbourhood, is currently on tour in Australia.

The team was started 15 years ago in an attempt to offer young people an alternative lifestyle to one which involved gangs, guns and drugs.

Peter Bowes spoke to founding member Ted Hayes and his two sons about how they got involved and how the sport is helping change lives.[/article]
