8 minutes added time in the first half. That hangs so terribly and awfully over this game because of the error.
And it is THAT which pushes the system towards improvement.
That's the thing with VAR. If you make a wrong decision then it is MUCH WORSE because it was REVIEWED. Before people didn't see/know. Or at least there was always that excuse. So people could take it as accidental. And no play was stopped and then even REVERSED back in time. Most terrible.
But now everyone knows that was an error. That's what pushes things towards improvement.
And, I jinxed the fuck out of them.
They keep letting corners take place in extra time. They wait for something approaching a clearance. Then blow a whistle. That's what things are like in football. That's an old practice. Not a rule, but kinda everyone does it. If corner, they let it take place.
It wasn't a foul though. He'd won the ball. The turn would've blocked the challenging player wherever his foot landed. It made no difference to the play.
He misses the ball with his second touch though, so you could argue that it’s wreckless. But when the ref doesn’t give a free kick then VAR shouldn’t get involved at all. Awful by VAR. PGMOL have had a mare so far this season. Regressing further under the guidance of the old Utd striker Webb.
This is an absolute fucking farce. Fucking dopey twat staring at a screen for 5 minutes. Beyond pathetic.
