Fixtures from tonight through to Thursday (apart from Monday).

Brighton currently goalless with Man U. I doubt they’ll do us a favour as they’re already safe.

This makes Brighton mathematically safe if they hold on, hopefully that means they will drop their level for our game against them on the last day of the season.

Brighton staying up with that win. Hopefully their players go into holiday mode before our game next week.

If United lose the next two and we get at least 5 points, we'll finish above them.
Nice thought but not gonna happen. I dont know if this result is a good thing or not ... i think we will lose to Chelsea and will need that win against Brighton its gonna be real tough if they decide to defend that hard given last weeks experience with Stoke.

I've been the pictures and didn't even know they were playing. Best of both worlds. Missed a totally boring game that my footy addiction would have made me watch, and straight over to Redcafe for the meltdown.

No but I watched A quiet place in the cinema two weeks ago. Really liked. Decent effort from Jim from The Office.

I want to see that Woland at the drive in but my radio is stuffed so wouldn't be able to hear anything 😉

So do Utd need one point or two points to finish above us. I’m confused.
It depends how many we get.

Basically we need to win both & they need to lose both.

Realistically, not gonna happen.

If we get top 4 & the chance at CL again I'm happy.

Mourinho once again blamed the players for the result.

He can't have long now.

Weirdly, he also seems to not understand points per game:

"Maybe now you will not ask me why A, B and C do not play so much.

"I knew what was going to happen and I told them, but that is what we got.

"The attitude from the first minute and especially in the first half, they had more appetite.

"I did not succeed in persuading my players that getting four more points is important. It is for me, but perhaps not for them.

That's from the express, dunno if its a misquote. Find it hard to believe a PL manager would get the points per game wrong.

Say what you like about Jose but Utd are gonna finish 5-8 pts ahead of us.

League tables don't lie, we have a ways to go.

Their budget is what, 4 times ours? In transfer fees & wages?

They dropped out of the CL before us. & they're gonna scrape a place or two ahead of us by a couple of points in the league?

That's not an achievement pat. It really isn't. He may claim it to be so. Their fans may do so, but it simply isn't.

With the resources he has, he is underachieving. No way round that fact.

He could argue finishing a few points off city. He could argue finishing runners up in the CL. Neither of those has happened.

His 'magic' in his early career has peetered out & he's no different to pep now. He needs a huge budget & board happy to back a short to medium plan to succeed.

He is simply a false messiah. Not to say Klopp will be any different, but he shows more promise, more adaptability.

They don't have a choice but to keep him for the time being. They run the risk of being a revolving door and who else is available anyways. Long may the rot continue.

They do lie. Frequently. It's one of the greatest bollocks/myths in football that the table doesn't lie.
How about 2 points ? That may have come from a referee's error in one of the head to heads ?

In this case, and in fact as I stated during the group stages of the CL, I wanted United, Chelsea & Spurs to maybe make the 1/4s before being knocked out, simply because, as it turned out, they were handed an advantage in being much better able to prepare for weekend PL matches.

Does anyone in their right mind not think, having a week to prepare and play our strongest team week in week out, we may even have been ahead of United had we not been in the CL ? The CL has had a major influence on the composition / points of the Top 4/5.

They need 4 pts to guarantee finishing above Spurs. 2 pts to finish above us.

Don't care anyway

Two trophies last year,

Possibly another this year and gone from 6th to 2nd.
From 69pts to 83pts.

We might end up with less points than last season.

I can understand why some UTD fans I know see it as progress.

City have been on another level league wise this year.

Apparently Paul Lambert considering deploying Peter Crouch as an emergency keeper against Palace today, when his unexpected talents were revealed

He's just a delivered the kind of seasons that eventually got Wenger the sack.

Out of the title race by November.
Out of the the Champions League in the last 16.
A domestic cup maybe

He's turned them into Arsenal, so yeah, progress.

Stoke v Palace is the early kick off. Two teams I hate. Like tonight’s boxing I want both to lose but that obviously can’t happen. If stoke don’t win they’re down.
