West Ham are so bad Everton should be 4-0 up after 12 minutes. Only zouma has scored so far. 1-0.

Watching Leipzig-Berlin. Grujic is a breathtakingly good passer. A true DM playmaker, now I can understand the hype.

Hertha Berlin head coach Pal Dardai reached for the superlatives after Marko Grujic's match-winning display against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, calling the midfielder "by far the best midfielder I've seen in my time at the club".
The 22-year-old Serbia international, on loan in the German capital from English Premier League leaders Liverpool, scored with a thumping header at the Olympiastadion on Matchday 14 to give Hertha a 1-0 win that lifted them up to sixth in the Bundesliga standings.
It was his first Bundesliga goal in just seven league appearances since joining Hertha in August, following almost two months on the sidelines with an ankle injury. Nevertheless, even that brief period has been enough to impress Dardai, who arrived at the Old Lady in 1997 and stayed on as youth team coach after retiring, before taking charge of the first team in 2015.

"I've been at Hertha for 22 years," said the 42-year-old at his press conference after the Frankfurt win. "This isn't meant as an insult to anyone else, but Marko is by far the best midfielder I've seen in my time at the club."
The raw data from the game certainly backs up Dardai's impression of the youngster. From his position in central midfield, Grujic did the dirty work – winning an average of 54 per cent of all challenges – while he was also helping out in other areas by completing 92 per cent of his passes and having four attempts at goal – more than any other Hertha player.
"I was a defensive midfielder and managed to score 17 goals, which isn't bad," Dardai continued. "But Marko carries much more of a goal threat, he's got a sensational shot on him and is much better than I was [...] He can play anywhere in midfield.

"He's got so much potential, and you can see that out on the pitch. He's so robust in the middle of the park, but he can still play. He's good in the air, he wins tackles and has got such a strong desire to win. I can only say: 'respect'. And he's not even fully fit. Just imagine what he'll be like when he is!"
Dardai is unsure what will happen when Grujic's loan deal ends in summer 2019, but said that sporting director Michael Preetz "will no doubt do everything he can" to extend the midfielder's stay.
Preetz himself is also a card-carrying member of the Grujic fanclub, saying: "He's instinctively always in the right place. His height and technique make him a blend of both a defensive and attacking midfielder."

Whenever he gets the ball – doesn't matter if it's bouncing, awkward or under pressure, he finds a positive continuation every time. A lot of times it's one touch and the vision and angle of the pass is just, like I said, breathtaking. I can't even find an adequate comparison for his style of play; very rare to see a DM who is this creative and direct.

I just wish he was more proactive to get on the ball more, that's probably the next thing he needs to develop. Hertha are losing 3:0 and can't get a foothold in the midfield. You would want your best midfielder to try to change the game in these circumstances, drop deep to demand the ball, then do something with it. Instead he keeps playing his normal game, excellent when he does get the ball, but IMO could do more.

UPD 5:0 to Leipzig now, Hertha given up and their defense is awful.

Grujic just got the ball for the first time in like 20 minutes and immediately set up his team-mate for a tap-in into an empty net – which the useless fucker, somehow, managed to miss. Unreal!

He wants to stay at at Hertha and they clearly love him. If he’s got more than 2 years left on his deal we should leave him there.

Loan him out for one more season.
Think he can come back and be a starter for us eventually.

We had the most bizarre situation over here. It was one of the bigger teams in second flight, one of the favs for promotion, who decided to sack their coach 2 days before the season started. Worth to mention the coach is a prolific character over here and is former National team Captain and some sort of legend even though disputed.

Anyway, the amateurs in the board thought they were going to outsmart the old fox and save some cash. So instead of sacking him directly and compensate him they "suspended" him and releived him from first team duties due to wrong focus and made a full personell matter. They had a press conference telling every man and his dog that the assistant coach would lead the team in the season opener. However the coach refused to accept the decision and decided to lead the team anyway. So he showed up and picked the team, with the board played check mate, and they had no option but officially putting him as coach on the team sheet as he was still contracted as their coach. This was really hillarious to watch over the 2 days the chaos lasted.

Btw they lost 1-0, a bit unfair result.

Cardiff v Chelsea is the early game. I might want a Chelsea win. Keeps the pressure on Man U and spurs ahead of their games vs City. Add to that city play Cardiff next who may be “fighting for their lives”.

Yeah, we could do with a great performance from Cardiff but Chelsea somehow sneaking the win. That'd be ideal.

No no no, we are the team that are supposed to get Sarri the sack not Cardiff!!

C'mon Chelsea lol *cough spit*

Don't need no new manager bounce when we play Chelsea.

Also it's easy to laugh at Chelsea, but we are going to face similar forces of resistance from supposedly lesser teams in our run in, I hope we don't get too cocky and complacent as that will be one of our personal demons in trying to pip city to the title.

It's funny because Sarri keeps starting all the shit players
He even benched Hazard today, I guess he's prioritising Europa as a backdoor to CL. They have a pretty easy path to the final there too

This ref has well got a Chelsea shirt on under his top.

Fuck me.

I think Neil Warnock will rip his head off full time. Don't blame him either.

Well, I said that it'd probbaky be best if Chelsea somehow sneaked a win but Cardiff played well, & Cardiff played well but look like they'll lose after an unfair goal & a booking that should have been a red card. Can't complain.

Damn that ref and linemen must have got bitcoin notification on they phones because Cardiff getting cheated here... Goal offside and possible redcafe...

The great escape... I'm kinda glad though because this keeps the heat on the other top 4 challengers who have to play city... I think we beat Chelsea easily the way they are playing at the moment.

That's a worry to be honest, when they play city I hope they don't play a weakened team too.

Hahahaha. Don't like the man, but that was brilliantly played by Warnock that.

Just walked up to the centre circle after the game, & stood in front of the officials, hands on hips & shaking his head at them. Said nothing at all but arguably more effective.
