They're all having a good spell but would you really take the likes of Trippier, Almiron or Wilson here given their age?
Only 2 good enough long term are Bruno & Isak....let's not forget without them these were the same players failing every week, flirting with relegation.
This season or last season when I said it, yes I would.
Especially when their stock was low. Bargains and considering the thin level of our squad they would be more than welcome.
Trippier maybe but no one in their right mind would’ve wanted us to sign Wilson or Almiron last season or the season before.
Wilson is 31 and is injury prone, Almiron before this season looked like a championship player.
I guess maybe I see more potential than others.
I wanted Wilson when he was at Bournemouth. He’s always looked great in terms of all round play. Lacks the high goal return but a super option he would have been.
We target world class potential like Diaz Gakpo and Nunez......Callum Wilson is about 5 levels below that.
Don't think we ever needed a relegation injury prone fodder like Wilson anyway.....Wouldv'e been Ings all over again, just because it's worked out nicely for Newcastle doesn't mean it wouldv'e worked out well for us.
Wilson is the modern day Darren Bent.....just because he's become a good Premier League striker means we missed out, otherwise we could be sat here saying this about 500 others players.
We are where we are because we haven’t keep adding squad players along the way to finding top class talent. And that’s before you even consider the Klopp effect. Virtually every single player performs to their maximum potential here.

Again, Newcastle were going nowhere but staring relegation dead in the face until they spent 150m on 5 players to steady the ship....then spending a further 130m on 2 players to be in the position their in. They didn't have to sell a single player to do that, we don't have that luxury.
