I imagine Carragher will be a bit embarrassed by the whole affair, but the whole thing is for charity which will no doubt be at the centre of his mind.

He's just that sort of guy.

Michael Owen's dead to this club, so deserves no recognition whatsoever.
He should be even more embarrased after the latest game!!
What are you actually talking about?

Carra should be embarassed at celebrating well over a decade of service for a club he loves, because in the previous outing we got beaten, even though he didnt have a bad game?

Yeah! Hang your head in shame Carragher!

I've spoken to a few mancs about this today and it's the first time we've all agreed on something football related. None of us are bothered because we all knew he was a fucking bent little twat and this is just bent little twat behaviour. Opinions of the man remain unchanged.

Eh? Turning out for his best mate in a charity testimonial is bent little twat behaviour ?

There will a series of comedy chances, free-kick opportunities and failing that, we will be gifted a pen by The Bitters

I was wondering what sort of format it might take. Knowing Carra though I wonder if it might have a more competetive edge than your average testimonial

maybe he'll play the second half up front like in his youth?
that could be quite amusing!

No, but wearing a Liverpool top when you're a manc is, as was signing for them in the first place, as was leaving us over a barrel when he left.

The farcical penalty is a certainty.
I wonder will he step up for it?

I can understand your feelings on the two latter points, although not wholeheartedly agree, but as has been said, regarding the last it's a testimonial for his mate and for a charitable cause so I am sure the Mancs will forgive him that discretion

You'd think that the crowd would not get on his back for Carra's sake? Is he not Carra's best mate?I'd feel like hurling abuse at him but would refrain.

They may be friends due to getting into the first team together around the same time however I'd be surprised if that little shit is Carragher's bessie.

Of course no player should be booed at a testimonial however Owen in a Liverpool shirt just isn't right. Perhaps he should turn out for Everton instead.

But we don 't have to actually LIKE him for that 45 minutes, right..? Just not boo him?
You bet we don't, old pal. Even Carra couldn't demand that.

He used to be his best mate in football.

After he signed for the Mancs, Carra was asked about this, 'Is he still your best freind in football?' to which Carra replied 'Not anymore, no.'

I think it was only half said in jest.
