I'm sure some snivelling united sympathisers will be in to tell us we're all hysterical, paranoid fanatics, but that was just ridiculous and the perfect example of why everyone hates United and are suspicious of their influence over officials.

I didn't think it was a pen and I'm not sure how the ref could have given it from where he was... he was a bit behind the play, wasn't he?
 
No way its a pen. I'm so bored of discussing this aswell. Halsey clearly feels he can replace Webb.
 
I've been seeing this for nearly 2 decades now. Refs in most other European countries have been found taking money and favors. I have little doubt it's even more common in England. Days like today it makes me wonder why I bother.
 
Thanks Gene, confirmation beyond doubt. I'm disgusted today with how a game can be turned on it's head by someone who's meant to be impartial.
 
Halsey isn't even trying to hide it any more.

One of the things I kind of admire about managers & players is their ability to not go proper nuts in post match interviews.

If it had been me, I would have called the ref a horrible cheating cunt.
 
Well, its either inept or corrupt. The penalty is so amazingly bad to give that it makes you wonder.

Apparently when Gerrard took a corner in the 1st half, some cunt was shouting at him, '96 more, 96 more'. Bastards.
 
Sky switched the crowd sound feed at about 60 minutes. It was quite jarring. No idea why, but I've not heard that done before.

Em I don't know what to say .... today shelvey should not have been sent off but I understand why he was and the penalty was a penalty. Rvn was not sent off because suso moved out of the way so the challenge became a yellow card and not red. Had suso got tangled then I am sure he would have got red. Thought the ref was OK and gave each player a chance to do at least one rash tackle. We all know shelvey can be reckless and so he was. The benefits of today's game was that the youngsters learnt some harsh lessons in a big game like giving away the ball in situations like today and making reckless tackles like shelvey who will now learn to curb such aggressive instincts.
 
Sky are saying one of ours made a plane gesture and thats what kicked the chants off. Without evidence thats quite the statement

Just to clarify, mate - I wasn't referring to YOU - I was using 'moron' in its conventional sense, so no offence intended!
 
I tripped over my own feet earlier and fully expected to hear a whistle being blown.

Couldn't believe that penalty decision, even united fans who were in the bar said it was never a penalty.
 
He's been doing it for years "Torres is a diver" so every defender in the league can kick him when they like without any protection from the ref. "Suarez is a disgrace to the game" so every penalty and fan in the world goes against him. "We never get penalties at Anfield" low and be fucking hold. Ferguson doesn't outplay those he's scared of, he uses his influence of being in the game for 25years and somehow being known as a becon of incorruptability to cheat them out, its pathetic and it ruins the game.
 
Halsey was a joke today. For the sending off, he was only watching what Shelvey did. I bet he had no idea how Evans went into that challenge. It was clear Shelvey was going to fly in and Halsey was waiting to dole out the card for it.

When Evans starts mincing round on the floor, that sealed the red.
 
So Sky have confirmed the 'unsavoury chants' from the scum fans once the cameras stopped rolling
 
Ultimately it'll achieve nothing, but it'd be nice to see the FA take some action against any team tbh. They seemingly do fuck all

To be honest I was a bit uneasy about by their so called "support" anyway. Watching the minutes applause you could see large numbers of them hands in pockets. They're a shower of bad cunts and always will be. Top to bottom.
