Well thats fucked us signing Coutinho. this is never gonna get to a thousand posts now.
Fool of a took.

Why is Ryan being singled out? I didn't see anything other than everyone going off topic.

EDIT: see it now. New thread and all that. As you were.

This thread sucks.

As evidenced by the economics thread in GC, sometimes great conversations flow naturally in a thread and the SCM way should be to leave it be.
Opening new threads to take the discussion to inevitably kills it.

It also seems a silly thing to do seeing as it only appeases Ross.

Couldn't agree more. Threads are about conversations, thoughts and discussions. Of course they're going to wander into different territory from time to time. We're not writing fucking books here.

Yep. If there's any new news on Coutinho it will be posted. Until then, let people have conversations without getting all Hitler on it.

James Pearse from the Echo says the bid has been raised and that the club are confident of sealing the deal.
Sturridge & Couthino makes this a good window in my eyes. Still, a fair bit overhauling to do in the summer.

As I've just said in MC there isn't a big issue with threads going on off topic, there's a big issue with people not starting threads and giving them proper titles.

You should know what's going on that's interesting from the titles of the threads.

There once was a time when everyone started new threads because they wanted whatever they said to be noticed, that was infinitely better where now everyone hides everything interesting rather than start a new thread.

Is that not a contradiction, if a thread has gone off topic, then the title can't reflect what's in the thread. So either you allow them to go off topic or not.

The majority of 'vocal' posters are on every day, and view most threads. I rarely remember the name of a thread when I'm reading it.

It just seems the needs of the posters who don't come on much and don't post much are been put higher than the rest.

I think more people would be vocal if there were some interesting topics to discuss. Rather than a bunch o old threads 70 pages long and completely inaccessible

**party pooper alert**

It is right pain if you haven't logged onto the site for a few hours and then having to wade through 10 pages of a couple of posters having having a random conversation.

Well that's the whole point of SCM for me.

If I want news, I would go elsewhere.

1. I don't care 'cos I never have anything interesting to say
2. This is the Coutinho thread

Have you ever been a mod on Boards.ie?
It is seriously strict there.

Yeah I agree. You and I should discuss it in this thread.
