I'm past that. I'd prefer that than not to be awarded it at all. I couldn't give a flying fuck what other fans say about it.I don't want to just be awarded it with a shitty little asterisk next to our name.

I'm surprised no one is taking advantage of this new market for house coats.
100%I don't want to just be awarded it with a shitty little asterisk next to our name.
I've had this internet fight before and I lost. They were always called house coats in ours but they're for women. Dressing gown is right but I get why I was wrong. Sounds like it should be the other way round

I'd never heard the term before SCM.
Owning a dressing gown never had much appeal to me, but I went out and got a house coat the very next day.
That's exactly it. Toweling is used for the post-shower 'bath-robes' and it can be toweling, acrylic or silk for 'house-coats'. Best to have one of both to be on the safe side. One toweling and one silk.........Maybe there's some weird posh thing that carries over, and there's a real house coat/ smoking jacket type thing that isn't actually a dressing gown, because that's towelling and for after a bath and just before bedtime.
How did you lose? They're fucking gendered now?
Are we saying that ... two ostensibly identical items are called different things depending on the gender of the individual wearing them?
House coat in Liverpool tends to be used by people around Walton & Everton predominantly.
