A police officer who was in the firearms team that shot dead the barrister Mark Saunders has been accused of inserting song titles into evidence he gave during to his inquest.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said today it would manage an invesitgation into allegations the officer, known as Alpha Zulu 8 (AZ8), deliberately planted song titles into evidence given under oath on 27 September. Officer AZ8 was one of two specialist firearms officers who, the inquest heard, could have shot the fatal bullet to the head.
Hahahaha!
Isn't it nice to know that, behind the Heckler & Koch automatic machineguns, body armour, and authorisation to kill British citizens,
there is a human face, and that armed response police units play the same hilarious name-drop game as bored advertising executives in audit meetings.
