It's been near a year now that I've been residing in Germany, and last night I was invited to see a play by a friend. It was all in German of course, and I might have bragged to everyone that I could understand almost half of what they were saying, when in fact it was only 10% at best. I've been taking lessons, but lack proper practice due to work commitments etc.
Working for a Danish company, I thought I'd dabble a bit in Danish on Duolingo and somehow it's a very different tone to German. For starters I'm looking at a totally different way of reading alphabetic characters, which Duolingo does fuck all to address.
So I'm wondering how many multilingual users are on here and what drove you to master that language?
