Tight turnaround on this. Would love to just full rotate but we have this mega challenge in that we only have 4 strikers fit across 3 positions. We're going to be very reliant on Nunez & Salah putting in 90s for next 4 games (then there is another international break).

Jaros

Gomez
Quansah
VVD
Tsimikas

Endo
Morton
Szobo

Salah
Nunez
Gakpo

There are some 'up & comers' in the U21s that I would be happy to see in here too - Nyoni, Pinnington (CB), Cannonier (CF)

I’m hoping Bradley & Jota are back for this one.

Jaros
Bradley - Quansah - Gomez - Tsimikas
Endo - Mac A
Slobbers
Diaz - Jota - Gakpo

I’d play Cheesie for Diaz if he were fit.

Morton, CJ, Robbo & Donkey to get 25 mins too.

I can't see anyone who wasn't on the bench yesterday being fit. I would genuinely throw this one away, but I know that 'winning breeds winning'

Diaz down the right is a good shout though, if he can help us manage Mo's mins.

Jeez, we are going to end up needing another attacker in Jan if Chiesa is such a dud. How can a professional athlete arrive so unfit. Did a medical not pick this up?

Nah Macca needs a full break.

Yeah, I would hope that most of the players that started yesterday are rested for this.

Jaros, Bradley?, Gomez, Quansah, Tsimi, Endo, Morton, Szobo, Gakpo, Chiesa?, Nunez

If Bradley or Chiesa can't play then grab a couple kids from the reserves.

We're light up top, eh?

Bradley was very close for the Arsenal game, so surely will be in and around this one.

Fitness permitting. Is Danns/Chiesa around for the bench?

I think Chiesa starts and plays like 60 mins
Personally, I would use Chiesa as a sub. I think that would fit him much better. As a super sub. That's how I would try and ease him into the Premier League. An impact player. And that is not to be taken as some sort of disparagement. Super sub in important games and in important minutes. I would not give him a lot of minutes and starts in unimportant cup games. I would give him the most important minutes in most important games.

He can sub Jota and Diaz and Salah. And he can play every game like that. And in my book he would always be ahead of Gakpo if and when things matter.

And in this game I would start Gakpo.

I think that perhaps a good way for people to understand the type of player Chiesa is would be to compare him to Michael Owen. First imagine Owen didn't bail out on Liverpool and was not a prima donna idiot that he proved out to be. And then and only then also imagine you have a 25 year old Michael Owen who had his little first bout with injury so you gotta be careful with him. But you know you have a tremendous, world-class player that loves big moments and big games, and that can make great impact at any time. So you would use him like that. When it matters !!!! And you would treat him like that too around the club and in the dressing room.

If you treat Chiesa like he is a nobody player he will not perform well and he will want to leave which is what already seems to be happening given some of the latest news surrounding him discussed in this forum.

Kinda like a Ferrari. Imagine you have a Ferrari but you can only put 10 liters (or 2 gallons) of gas in it. When you put your 10 liters in, you still have a Ferrari. So you plan nicely about how and when you use those 10 litres because you still want to use your Ferrari. It's nice to have a Ferrari.

And you keep your Ferrari nice and clean when it is in the garage. You show it off to people too. A 10 litre Ferrari is still a Ferrari. And if you treat it like that perhaps you discover you can put 20 litres in it too.

Is this fucking bot/prankster/pain in the hole* (delete as appropriate) now having a conversation with itself?

I quite like the Ferrari chatter in fairness. The analogy is at least intelligible, which isn't always true of his (its?) posts.

I don't know but he's sure quoting himself a lot - after he'd informed us that doing that was akin to incest in Italy.

They didn't make 2024 rules for this 2004 forum you know, don't think they had plans for shit AI chat. If you's all want us to ban someone just make it clear and if it seems unfair we can chat about it

Play Nyoni and Ngumoha along with 9 other fuckers - don’t care who, or we riot.

Not ideal to be going into this with the majority of our squad players out but what can you do.

I’d go full changes where possible.

Jaros
Bradley
Quansah
Gomez
Tsimikas
Endo
Morton
Slobby
Diaz
Danns (He started running again at the start of the month)
Gakpo

I’d have Diaz and Gakpo in there because they’ve played fewest minutes recently compared to Nunez and Salah.

Maybe Robbo should start and captain the side, to give him a chance to redeem himself after Arsenal. And Tsimi can be rested for the PL game.

They're now trying to take over posters. They tried to take over Dreamy's account, but AI couldn't replicate the complex thought process behind the posts. Dreamy is AI resistant. Apparently @Red Astaire is half human, half AI these days 🤣

Cheesie’s not a Ferrari though… he’s an Alfa Romeo - looks good, but bits fall off or don’t work probably and if you fill it up with petrol it’ll just splutter and leak everywhere while never making it out of the garage.
