It's a small sample, but since Diaz has arrived, I don't see how anyone could justify that Salah is worth 4 times Diaz weekly wage, which is what Salahs demands will be. AFCON is a legit factor, but Diaz is also new to the league.

You would back our recruitment to find another.

I reckon Diaz is worth a lot more than we paid and what we pay him though.

We improved in the 2nd half in terms of control ... we didn't even give them 10 mins. Left a few goals out there though - I was hoping for 3 or 4 to extend that GD to City.

Anyway:

Really Crap : Hendo (he just looked out of it all game).

Crap but scored his penalty : Mo
Improved in the 2nd half but not at their best : Mane and Trent

Ave. : Robbo (played well in defence but his crossing was very poor today). Keita - bar one horrendous pass did what he had to do and was very decent at both ends.

Good : Fabs had an ave. first half but much improved to his normal level in the 2nd. Ali - nothing to do in the first but one cracking reflex save and was where he needed to be when he needed to be there.

VvD was mostly VvD bar one effort when a player got a shot off he shouldn't.

Great game : Diaz and Matip. Diaz definitely gets MotM but could have had another goal ... that he deserved.

Subs
Thiago : a couple of highlights but otherwise quiet.
Millie : did exactly what he needed to.
Jota : another quiet game as a sub.

Diaz is a tank. Skinny lad but tough as nails. I wouldn't want to get into a fight with him. He'll just keep getting back up.
