Pre Match: Chelsea (H)

There's a collective panic about this game for obvious reasons- the slip, the fact they have one of the best players in Europe in Hazard. But I just fancy us in this game. We're so many points out in front of them for a reason. They're nowhere near as good as Spurs, I just want us to attack them hard.

But, we’ve only beaten them twice in the last 16 games. The slip, loss at home in the league cup, draws. Its easy to see why it could be a difficult game.
I’m bricking it.

Yeah, I haven't seen us beat Chelsea in a match (live) since......er.......ever actually.

Fuck.

Umm, don’t quite know how to put this, but our last home win against Chelsea was May 2012.

Last time we beat them at home in the league is 11/12 season 4 days after we lost to them in the FA Cup Final

If Lovren says something about a slip before Sundays game, then the gates of hell will open up.

All adds to the feeling that it's time then. Roulette wheel and all that.

Thanks for clearing that up Carl.
Yeh thanks Carl..

Tried to put that in the back of mind all these years that running around the social club cheering Andy Carrolls equaliser, chug on a celebration spliff outside only to come back in to the TV in the club to find it is still actually 2-1

Great save from Cech though..

WTF is a celebrity spliff?

Was it famous?!

Fuck.

Was on The Kop when Deano went two-footed over the ball to do Paul Elliot. And Elliot got booked for it. And we won. And I'm pretty sure that my age began with a 1.

Jurgen Klopp insists he is not suffering with nerves and made it clear that Liverpool's 2014 experience will have no bearing on their charge.

"I never thought for one second about 2014 until I entered this room. Why should I?"

Klopp: "Anybody who wants to talk to any of my players about what happened years ago, don't do it! We want to write our own history, and if you do that you can build on the positives of the past, ignore the negatives of the past and learn from the mistakes of the past."

Despite the nerves and pessimism, I think our current midfield matches up perfectly with Chelsea’s who never change anything.

Fabinho holding at stopping Hazard through the middle.

Henderson snapping at Jorginho heels, stopping his distribution, making tackles and launching counters in their half.

And, Gini or Keita providing both a possession outlet and supporting Fabinho from wide or covering him in the middle when he get drawn wide. Basically, head to head with Kante.

Chelsea is all about Jorginho and Hazard and I think we are perfectly set-up to handle that today.

Earlier in the season, both had too much time.

Apologies for the optimism.

I think both City and Liverpool will draw.

Hazard will run through us and bang in a worldie as per.

Just seen Bobby being interviewed on Football Focus, but NOT in English.
