I think hes shithoused out of getting kicked a few times already and Everton will target him.
I think of other players at other clubs like Reyes at Arsenal who never recovered from a good kicking in a big game and I wouldn’t risk it. This will be hands down the fastest pace with highest intensity he’ll have experienced so far and so far he hasn’t coped at all.
I've watched our matches but I haven't noticed this at all. In reality the only player I've recently seen duck of challenges against Everton is Szobo.

When was the last time we gave a side a proper hiding?

Can't be arsed waiting for 90th min winners, go out there and flatten them.

From the guardian’s 10 things……. I’m not going to disagree.

Best for Kerkez to sit out derby

It would be a surprise to see Arne Slot start Milos Kerkez against Everton, given the left-back’s struggles against Burnley last weekend. Kerkez was booked for diving and was lucky to avoid a second yellow after fouling Jaidon Anthony before being substituted for Andy Robertson after 38 minutes at Turf Moor. Surely Slot will not risk a similar performance in the cauldron of the Merseyside derby, especially with such a dependable option in Robertson and the tricky Iliman Ndiaye on the right wing for Everton? “It’s a massive jump,” said the Scot of moving to Liverpool as he came to the defence of Kerkez this week. “I came from Hull City, he’s come from Bournemouth, and it’s probably quite similar. He will be the starting left-back for Liverpool in the future and it’s up to me to push him this season and help him improve.” Kerkez is lucky to have such an experienced mentor, but may face a wait to get back into Slot’s starting XI after Robertson started against Atlético Madrid in midweek. Yes and no. I've no problem with Kerkez picking up a Yellow and then being replaced. The main issue is Robbo's pace and tackling vs. N'diaye.

I don't know much about him so checked out his speed and that PL manager stuff gives :
84 for Pace, 83 for Acceleration, and 85 for Sprint Speed.

That looks damn good, too good for an aging Robbo on his 2nd game in 4 days. I'd start Kerkez.

Me too plus it’s absolute revisionist bollocks that Kerkez was lucky to escape a second yellow for Anthony throwing himself theatrically on the ground.

Kerkez’s pace and stamina are needed tomorrow. He was excellent against Arsenal too.

I would not let the blueshite anywhere near Flo and Isak. You just know they’d love to damage either one, and we need them fit and healthy.
Macca and Hugo, and the rest as was for AM

-------------------Alisson----------------
-Frimp----Konate-----VVD-----Robbo-
-----------------Gravy-------------------
----------Szobo-------Macca-----------
---Salah--------Isak--------Ekitike------

You'd think Chiesa would come back in because he's obviously not in the CL squad, it would be pretty shit to then leave him out. So yeah, my money is on Rio or Nyoni, but then God knows. Jones is only just making it back, then you have Endo, Gomez and Leoni and whether we need all three.

I'm always nervous about Derby games and the Neanderthal approach from Everton, but whereas they used to have those kinds of players from 1-11 through the team, they're not quite as bad these days. Sure, the defenders are dirty bastards, but most defenders are.
We expected Newcastle to try to kick us off the park, they tried, they failed, and they went down to 10 men and then Rio had his moment. I think Flo and Isak are both savvy enough to handle themselves, plus the Blueshite can only kick them if they can catch them.

Grealish the danger man with a few assists so far. Not convinced either Frimpong or Bradley will handle him but Frimpong has the better recovery pace.

Mo needs to find some form, Gakpo did well when he actually drove to the byline instead of cutting in every time. Wirtz and Ekitike both been very quiet too.

Will be tight but hopefully the Bitters inferiority complex edges them out.

I'd go Frimpong and Kerkez, with a firm warning to Kerkez to smarten up, and he's straight off after a yellow card. What is for sure is that we need Szobo in the middle for this one.

I'm not sure it's mainly Bradley or Frimpong he'll be up against. Moyes is letting him go wherever he likes, rather than playing him as a left winger. If he *does* play predominantly on the left I'm sure Bradley can cope with him (just ask Mbappe). Frimpong I'd admittedly be less sure about.

The referee for the Merseyside derby is Darren England, an official who will forever be known to Liverpool fans as the video assistant referee to incorrectly disallow Luis Diaz‘s goal against Tottenham in 2023.

He also took charge of Liverpool’s final game of last season, sending Ryan Gravenberch off with two yellow cards. Everton are unbeaten in the last six games in which he was the referee.

Lee Betts and Scott Ledger are assisting England at Anfield, with Robert Madley acting as the fourth official.

Meanwhile, John Brooks is the VAR and his assistant is Akil Howson.
