He may or may not have been offside but you certainly can’t distinguish that from Brizzle’s photo because you can’t even determine who played the pass!! The ball’s already in the air and left the passer about 50 hours ago.

You can clearly see who played the pass and ball is just feet from his foot - Look at the stances of the other players, they are not those of a player that has just kicked the ball.

That said - I don't think either of those are from the correct passage of play (pass from the centre circle?) ! Look at my screenshot from the video of the incident - the passer is far closer and in a totally different position (just outside the D) ! In that case it is far far closer.

OK my screenshot was wrong ! Don't know how - I guess it skipped on quickly and I screenshot the wrong incident !
 
The return leg is on Prime in the UK which pisses me off because it’s streamed. But that means no McMananam or Ferdinand. So there’s that.

I recorded the game and still have it on Sky+. The freeze frame in this thread where he looks offside is a separate incident (it's not even the same player passing the ball and he's in his own half in the correct one, in our half in the incorrect one). The one embedded in the tweet is the correct one and Barcola was onside when the ball was played. I thought on first viewing that he was off, but during the game itself they didn't display the wide angle when the ball was played (they cut to it a fraction of a second later, when he looked offside) and they didn't show the wide angle in the (in-game) replays either, it was only when TNT showed the full wide-angle footage at half-time that you could see it properly, and he was on, no question.
I'm obviously not complaining about the decision, but we got away with one. If the ref had called it as a foul he'd have been off, and if the situation had been reversed I'd have been wanting a red.
