We were told in school that the Irish for my friend - mo chara, became the word mucker.

I've no idea if that's true or not. I was also told that an Irish priest who was the one who gave Pele his nickname as the Irish for football is peil. That's probably a load of bollocks.

Didn't have a clue what Robbo was doing regardless, half turning his back while shuffling towards the attacker. Some unorthodox defending to say the least.
