Generally feels a good time to play Spurs although annoying they will have confidence after a big win against Red Star. However - they have been terrible with pressing and generally looked lazy in the past couple of months, let's hope they continue that here.

Assuming TAA & Matip recover in time, I think we'll see only one change in the front 6 after this week, with one of Naby or Ox coming in for one of Gini or Hendo.

-------------Alisson--------------
TAA---Matip----VVD---Robbo
------------Fabinho--------------
---------Ox---------Gini----------
Salah-----Firmino----Mane---

This is what i'd like to see, and what I could see Klopp going with. Obviously 'the usual' with Hendo or Millie in for Ox could be even more likely.

It's gonna be:

The usual back 4 plus Alisson

Fabs
Hendo
Wijnaldum

Usual front 3

Ox or Keita?
You're having a laugh.

Yeah I think so. Klopp isn't ready to start them yet but one or both might get 30 mins or less.

Our bench just got a huge confidence boost, is extremely talented and will be waiting to change it if we fail to score or worse.

I think if it's anyone who drops out, it would be Henderson, who has had a mixed start to the season and was horrible against United, and even that might be to make way for MIlner, rather than Ox or Keita.

Can't see any more changes

Hopefully Matip and TAA are back. One change in midfield is then probably all that we'll see from the Utd game. Salah will obviously start.

I'll be very surprised if Klopp doesn't go back to the same side that's started the league games this season (Allison for Adrian aside obv).

Hendo could definitely do with a longer rest, but I don't think he'll get it for a while.

Fabs stopping Lamela & Son who seem to be in great form will be key. Hopefully Kane stays quiet. Spurs could come out looking for CL revenge.

I am worried about this game; I think Spurs for all their problems are one of the few sides who have the quality, intensity and physicality to cause us problems. Let’s hope the front 3 clicks like they did in the last 20 mins against Genk.

Agree with @manwithnoname, the only usual starter in any danger should be Hendo - but this is probably the kind of game where we can use his legs. Let’s see if Ox’s 2 goals or Keita’s confident passing display put a little bit of a question mark into Klopp’s head.

It's a bloody shame, because obviously it's all because of that one player. With all the goals and assists he's contributed with so far.

We write them off at our peril. They're a good side, who could very well surprise us. Need our top game with these guys

I'd swap Henderson for Milner alongside Fabinho and Wijnaldum in the middle. Keita and Ox can come on in the second half.

It is a fucking shame that players who have helped us to 17 wins and 1 draw in the last 18 matches are in contention for the next game. Shambles.

Continuous improvement - we haven't looked exactly scintillating in a bunch of these games and some players need some rest to get the required intensity back. I love Hendo and when he has been performing well in that advanced role he has been an asset, but that hasn't happened enough yet this season therefore his role should be at risk.

I have no issue with resting, or even dropping Hendo. But the gang mentality of "Oh fuck now it is back to that old shit midfield" related to a midfield who won us the CL last season and has been a driver through our 2 years without loosing at home as well as winning 17 straight PL games is a bit rich in my book. What have Keita and Ox contributed over that span to start crying if they haven't won back their places in the team yet. And you can't help but hearing a sly dig at Klopp for entrusting "that midfield". Overtrusting them. But it has not exactly cost him. He has not had too much choice either.

This is my team too, would like to see 30mins for Keita also.

Would it be the worst thing for Trent not to automatically make it back into the side? He was shite against United, maybe the thought of not being indispensable might push him.

He doesn't strike me as that sort, really. But it's not like we've got a load of alternatives. Milner and Gomez? Nah.

The time Trent was tortured by Sane then played fantastically against him in the next match makes me think he might be the type to respond to pressure. But yea the options aren't great, I trust Milner but I've been just as underwhelmed by him at fullback before.

Maybe, dunno. I'm more inclined to think that he's still very young, and will get more consistent as he gets older and more experienced.

As if TAA won't automatically regain his place when fit 😉

Klopp says that Trent should make it unless he has a set back. Matip not sure. Robbo was just rested.

So could be Lovren or Gomez against Spurs.

Fuck Spurs. They've only won 3 out of their 9 league games for a reason.

I guess main reason is a backfire from last season. It comes with a cost to go all the way in CL. both club and players had a new experience and loosing out the grand prize often has a mental burnout attached to it. They have enough quality to straighten things out and we should be aware.
