Much has been said about the signings of Jota and Diaz in the media but more credit should be given to Konate, he has been excellent for us as well.

It's such a luxury to have Konate being able to step in for Matip for any game without a drop in quality or overall defensive solidity, just slightly different characteristics. And to have someone like Gomez on the bench too.

When Gomez is switched on, he has every bit of a talent required to play rb/cb next season for at least 15-20 games as a starter but it’s whether that’s good enough for his career.
