Bib theory: Ibe, Sterling, Alberto, Allen, Wisdom, Cissokho, Touré, Sturridge.
Don't know who the rest are.
No sign of Borini.

I didn't mention Marquis in my previous post as I thought she might not want to encourage stalkers.

Instead of doing what we normally do - start with a weakened team that gives a huge sense of encouragement to the opposition, then play like strangers until we concede and start to panic, then send on the reinforcements, let's start strong, put them in their place and stroll through the game.

I've read a few comments about Coady on the Sheffield U forum and they say that he isn't ready for league football.

Cheeky twats. He's one of the few players they've got who can actually play the way Weir now wants the team to play.

I really hope he gets going and makes a name for himself.
I'll post some of the comments I found in the youth thread.

Good for him:

Brendan Rodgers claims he learnt the painful lessons from Liverpool’s cup disappointments last season.

Knockout defeats to Swansea in the Capital One Cup and League One's Oldham in the FA Cup were two lows of Rodgers’ first year in charge - and the Reds' manager says those losses taught him not to play weakened sides in the cups.

To that end, Rodgers has promised to field a strong team on Tuesday when Liverpool begin their quest to lift the League Cup for a ninth time with a home tie against League One side Notts County.

"I made some mistakes last season, in terms of changing the team," admitted Rodgers.
"When we played Swansea, they had a full-strength side out and we didn’t. They went on and won it and we were knocked out.

"It was difficult for us at that moment, with the league and European games. I always try and make the league our objective, but there are lessons learned from that.

"Hopefully, we will be much better this time and I think the group is more prepared, in every way, than we were last year.

"Cup competitions are important for us, as well as the league, and we will give it absolutely everything to get as far as we can in this competition.

"The league is No 1 priority, but this is a club based around cup competitions and trophies, and we feel we are better equipped to handle everything."

Rodgers claims he will not let his players be distracted by Sunday’s huge clash with bitter rivals Manchester United at Anfield.

"Our focus is on the next game, and that is Notts County," said the Northern Irishman.

County have just one point from their first four league games this season, but Rodgers vowed: "We will treat them with the same respect as Manchester United.

"This will be an opportunity for some players to get a game, who maybe haven’t featured, but the core of our team will be there."

I had a look at the pictures again and this seems to be the line up:

--------------------Mignolet/Jones

Johnson------Wisdom----------Touré--------Cissokho

-----------------Allen----------Lucas/Henderson/Gerrard
-----------------------Alberto
Ibe------------------------------------------Sterling
--------------------Sturridge

I've read a few comments about Coady on the Sheffield U forum and they say that he isn't ready for league football.

That seemed to be a few of their hysterical posters. A good few said he was their best midfielder on the night.

I wouldn't worry too much what Sheffield United fans say about him. They're have a tough time at the moment and, similar to this forum when LFC have a bad run, everyone comes in for abuse - some justified some not.

Their team at the moment looks very ordinary and their midfield/forward six just don't look right together. As the new boy, Coady is taking some of the blame but IMO the blame lies 100% with the manager, he needs to sign a few decent forwards and even possibly drop their captain Doyle (their other CM) and then they can judge Coady more fairly.

Modo, a decent rule of thumb is that about 80% of the posters on such forums haven't a clue about football, the trick is trying to figure out who the 20% are whose opinions are usually quite valid.

So Lucas and Johnson are good enough and all the talk about them being liabilities is bollocks?
