Prediction time - Your top 6

you're such a fucking suck
At least I'm consistent. Buy a decent striker and I'll change my mind.
Sturridge can break down at any minute.
Can we afford to be without him for two months like last season without Suarez to shoulder that responsibility...
The top 4 have better squads imo and one of them isn't playing in Europe.

consistent? you thought a team no one really rated could win the league last year. It's a better team defensively, minus one stud, and a seemingly more confident goalie. Please predict it again.

I'm amazed at :
1. the number of people who can't count to six
2. the number of people having us winning the title (hey, if you can't dream eh)
3. the number of people having City in 4th or 5th (FFS !) - a squad that just won the PL and have since strengthened.

I went with 8 because, you know, it's a more auspicious number. 🙂

Chelsea
City
then Us, Arsenal and United, not sure of the order yet though, the rest of this transfer window is vital.

Is it ok to admit I don't give a solitary fuck about any of the other teams? I won't be watching them except when they play us and I will not give a second's thought to their players, manager, tactics or anything else about them.

Would never have guessed you felt like that Sean.

City
Chelsea
Liverpool
United
Arsenal
Everton

Probably need to make another thread after the transfer window SLAMS SHUT though.

Up until now, I had no idea. You hide your real feelings so well, almost like Frank Maloney.

Even Arsenal? Surely you'll be thinking of them, gnashing in your sleep 😉

Pretty much.
I'm also factoring in that Man U aren't bothered by European football

Thats 6 games initially. We've got a much stronger squad now then last season, albeit we need 1 more striker. But we'll cope.
This Utd facination is beyond me. From 7th to 4th because of LvG, Shaw and Herrera. Mmmmkay.

I think Gaal is over rated myself but the bottom line is they still have a squad better than 7th place and did so last year under Moyes. All it takes for improvement from 7th is a few good players and some sort of discipline, coherence and motivation. Even Gaal can do that.

They do but I find it a bit weird that they suddenly will finish 3rd/4th with the signings they've made so far.
15 points behind 4th and 20 points behind us last season.
They're not the only team that has improved this summer.

If they sign 2-3 quality players they would be one of the favourites for 4th. Now, not so much imho.

I think he showed just that at the world cup. On paper that was a shite Dutch squad with the exceptions of Van Persie, Robben and maybe Sneijder but he made them a decent and competitive side with those 2 or 3 providing the goals.

It's a tougher challenge at United for him but probably quite similar. Mata, Rooney, Van Persie and a couple of others will get the goals, he just needs to support these and form something competitive with the rest of the team.

He had been manager of Holland for 2 years prior to the WC though.
Its not like he took over the Dutch team in May.
