I don't think I can tolerate another "young" player that has been playing at the highest level for many years yet still doesn't know when to shoot/pass/dribble. Another brainless oaf that has a small but dedicated* fan-base because he is quick and occasionally beats his full back.
*There will be someone, there is always someone, who treats every single successful pass like a world cup win, whilst forgiving him for the other 89 minutes of shitness. Granted he isn't as bad as Cisse and Babel, but he is still nowhere near good enough for a top team and Arsenal wont give a fuck about losing him as Oxo Cube is a far better player despite being much younger.
Jovetic and Rodriguez would be exciting all right.
The rest would leave me wondering who the exciting signing is going to be.
He is a good prospect and could well be a star in a couple of seasons time but isn't in that category just yet I think.
I would be delighted if we signed him but at the same time a bit disappointed if he was to be our sexy star summer signing
If we get Jovetic or Rodriguez, we'd all be so fucking happy it would be great. Hence, I don't think it's either of them ... It's probably Neymar.
This is what confuses me. I thought Rodgers agreed not to try to sign Swansea players this summer, but he keeps being linked with them. Allen would be great.
I'm pretty sure in one interview he said that agreement didn't extend to players 'on the open market' which seems to have been interpreted as once other clubs have been given permission to speak to them.
So he would. Tidy player alright and probably less than 8m?
