It makes me feel quite warm inside

Ray Clemence admits Liverpool means more to him than Tottenham.

The England goalkeeper coach served both clubs with distinction.

He said: "I loved my time at Spurs, it was the best thing that could have happened to me at that time.

"I had 12 great years there as a player and coach, learnt a lot, and probably wouldn't be in this position today if I hadn't gone to Spurs.

"But if someone nails you to a post and says 'what is the club' then it is Liverpool.

"I had a fantastic time playing-wise there, the fans were always fantastic to me and still are when I go back.

"I love the place, I love the club, I hate to see where it is at the moment and I want to see them back up there as soon as possible in the position I believe they should be in."

Yeah, I had Clemence pegged as Spurs, even though he was clearly a legendary figure. Nice to see.

I guess Torres would still say Atletico, even if (by some miracle) he spends the next five years here and wins everything going.

I'm quite surprised by Clemence, though, at least the fact that he came out and said it. Didn't Ray's son play for Spurs as well?

Yes. Players do tend to give the impression that the club they are most attached to is Liverpool.

Even when you hear Stan Collymore on the radio it is his time at Liverpool that he refers to the most

I do on occasions, I try and keep them to a minimum it keeps their value up 😉
My last one is about finding a decent desk top computer on the Geeks one.....Redshrek you have not forgotten have you?

My Mum and Dad were friendly with him and Vee because we all went to the same Primary School in Formby, he lived round the corner from us, and Vee was on the PTA with my Dad.
We gave Ray a lift to Anfield on match days once or twice, which, given my Dad is a bitter, he deserves immense credit for.

To be fair, given what some of the players were like back then, taking your 18 year old daughter away on a pre-season tour with them probably wasn't the wisest idea was it?
 
i seem to remember hearing that the reason Torben Piechnik left was that he was shagging Roy Evans's daughter.
