How long untill McLaren and Ferrari have a new one then? Shall we have a sweepstake on how many weeks it takes for them to do it?

Oh the tension!
The excitement!

What a wonderful sport!

Will car manufacturer A manage to copy a design aspect from car manufacturer B in time for the next race??!!!

I CAN'T TAKE THE SUSPENSE!

Cunts

I wouldn't at all surprised if McLaren and Ferrari have. The other smaller teams I'm not so sure.

2/3 races max. They're still in testing, it aint a quick process, even throwing shitloads of cash at it.

Boredom. And it's an open forum in which people are discussing F1 in which case I am entitled to say it's shite - knobjockey.

Why is tedious? I dont see this as any different as ourselves and the other top clubs spending millions on players, only for Wigan to realise players from some remote island are great, saying peanuts for them and going top, then the other top clubs scrambling to get that islands players signed up.
It's helped shake up things from a traditional hierarchy and thus added to the seasons excitement.

In F1 the machine is more important than the man and therefore it is not a sport it is a technical competition between mechanics. I am uninterested in a "sport" in which the merits of the tyres, diffusers and such like seem more important than the driver. Even allowing for this and if all drivers were given the exact same car it would be a terminally boring sport but at least then you would find out who the best driver is.

Hahhahahahahahaha!

Oh. You're serious.

I'm with Brendan and Pesam.

The Driver's Chmpionship is the ultimate sporting paradox. In theory the person who is best at drving wins yet in reality the races are decided by what happens when the cars are stopped in the pits. Absurd

F1 is shite.

BREAKING NEWS - Quick lads turn to SKY SPORTS 1 - McLaren now have the rear diffuser and they are showing it been fitted LIVE!!! Such a pivotal moment - the slow motion replay is awesome.

Fucking hell. They've put an interim diffuser on in about 3days lol

Hamilton 2nd in practise surprise surprise.

Button will be back down with his usual shark shit in no time.

Yes, that's because it will take some time to redesign the car properly and test it to get the diffuser set up not to compromise other areas of the car as no doubt this will be effecting braking.

Do you drive a car Pesam? Just curious.

I drive a Toyota Prius (aka The Milk Float). I have never found cars particularly interesting and as long as the seat is comfortable and the car is reliable I don't really care about it's "performance".

Haha, it wasn't that leading. I was just curious if you drove a car. I'm sure your Prius is lovely.

How exactly are you saving the planet? Have you actually looked into the 'carbon footprint' of a Prius?

Similar to that of a BMW 318 if I remember correctly.

its all to do with the processing and refining the battery has to go through. Mined on one continent, refined on another, and built on a 3rd.

The ideal way to save the planet.

*Attaches sense-of-humour diffuser to FFF*

My saving the planet comment was tongue-in-cheek. Driving any car, including the Prius, is hardly beneficial for the environment - I drive one because it gets good mileage to the gallon/litre.

Having said that, I predicted on a thread about a year ago that within 5 years many of us will be driving electrically powered cars and there will be a surge in stations equipped to charge these cars. With the recent government announcement regarding incentivising people to drive electrical cars (when they become readily available) it looks as if this could come true.

I did, apparently Piscean's are lucky-in-love this month and our money-worries will ease, on the down side the world will end next Wednesday.
