Wataru Endo has withdrawn from the Japan squad for their fixtures during the October international window.

The Liverpool midfielder had been selected by his country to participate in Kirin Challenge Cup matches against Paraguay and Brazil.

However, the Japan FA announced on Monday that Endo will not be involved, citing an injury.

Liverpool U18 player gets call up for Wales team

Trent Kone-Doherty has been called up for the Republic of Ireland U21s, and Prince Cisse, son of Djibril Cisse, will represent Wales U18s.

For Kieran Morrison, it should be a notable international break as he joins up with Northern Ireland U21s for the first time.

It is the first time the 18 year-old has been named in any international squad since last year’s Under-19 European Championships, which were hosted by Northern Ireland.

Maybe game time will get Mac more into shape. Or “match fit”

Hope so. He’s a massive loss

Salah played the full 90 and scored twice against Djibouti. Egypt had already qualified and Djibouti were bottom of the group. Seems a good use of time for the OAP.
