Morgan then had a £100 bet with someone that Ozil would get man of the match on Saturday. What he didn't realise is that Michael Owen (who was in the studio with him at the time) thinks that Ozil is muck and it was Owen's job to pick the MOM. Needless to say, Ozil didn't get it and Piers lost £100.

Ozil has regressed a lot. He was excellent for Germany about two to four years ago. His stats at Madrid were very positive too. Ancelloti / Perez suggested that Ozil enjoyed the party lifestyle and late nights a bit too much. I presumed it was a parting dig to soften the blow of his departure but maybe it's true.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has been ruled out for 10 to 12 weeks with a knee injury, according to the German Football Association.

The German FA announced the news of his scan results on their website after Ozil missed training ahead of their upcoming European Qualifiers against Poland and the Republic of Ireland. A statement on the DFB website read: "The MRI examination today at National Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt in Munich revealed a partial rupture of the outer band of the left knee joint.

"The treatment is conservative, with six weeks of immobilisation of the knee joint. Mesut Ozil is likely to be (out for) 10 to 12 weeks."
