While I cannot stand him in ODIs due to his at times lethargic batting, he's just a fantastic test performer. He's 34 now I guess, but he can still contribute a lot to this team and give some valuable tips to the younger lads coming through.
I still struggle to like Smith ... He can hit the tons, as we've all seen, but he just rubs me off the wrong way. I still am 'pissed' at how he bombed Kluesner from the team way back when ...

They were having a discussion earlier (Nasser and Co) as to why Kallis isn't really talked about in the same manner as Sachin, Lara and Ponting, even though he has an average that is equal to all of theirs. It pretty much came down to the fact that he never really dominates the opposing attacks. He has a great technique, but i must admit he does seem to always bat "steadily".
