Mamadou Sakho speaks out on Snapchat: “The fans deserve to know the true”

Defender Mamadou Sakho has used Snapchat to deliver a series of messages speaking out about his situation at Liverpool, showing his frustration at being frozen out.

The French defender opted not to takeJurgen Klopp‘s advice and take a loan move away from the club last month, and now says he has been fit for three weeks.

“Now it’s 3 weeks since I am fit to play games,” wrote Sakho on Snapchat. “I finish all my rehabilitation work. They don’t want me to play also with second team lol! Why I don’t know.”

Sakho referring to not even being selected for Michael Beale‘s under-23s and likely his messages where after being told on Friday that he wouldn’t feature for the young Reds this coming weekend again.

“Still working hard like Scouse Soldier! Still not talking cos I want speak on pitch.. I will speak soon for the people who support me and don’t understand the situation.

“Still happy to live in my “Liverpool Country” with my family, hope to have chance to play soon to give my best like I try to do always!

“I accept my situation but I can’t accept the lie… The fans deserve to know the true! Thanks for your support.”

The 26-year-old later removed the Snapchat posts early on Saturday morning, but Klopp will wake up to the news of Sakho’s social media messages – on the morning of a home game when the manager has called for a positive atmosphere throughout the club. Klopp will be furious.

As stupid off the pitch as he is on the pitch.

Sell him in January. Looks like he just cant learn that its a team game and not about him.
Fed up with him and his moaning. Can see why Klopp did what he did.

He has every right to complain, but he just pored gasoline on the fire. He won't play another game for us.

It's OK thanks I don't need to know the truth, you keep that to yourself mamadou

He is a self entitled bastard who had graduated from the prestigious "Traore's school of last ditch tackles" and has brain farts in every match. It is unfortunate he was given a chance to brand our name around but he has overstayed his welcome.

Klopp has rectified 3 of the most glaring problems with our squad last season; Moreno, Sahko and Ming.

Kudos.

Finally we will see no Ming and no Moreno, it was really disappointing starting the season with those two playing.

Danny Ings has been back training since last April/May...does anyone see him bringing nothing but embarrassment on the Club by using this Snapchat shite as a vehicle to air his frustrations and/or have Liverpool fans feeling all sorry for him.
No, he gets his head down, keeps his mouth shut and waits patiently for his chance knowing those ahead of him are currently doing the business.

I like Sakho, but boy he's not very bright, is he? A conflict with the manager can only end one way – deportation orders from the "Liverpool country..."

He should engage his brain and work it out for himself. The reason he isn't playing is primarily because he's not that good, so he's not forced his selection by that route. The other reason he isn't playing is because of the commercial damage it could do. It doesn't look good for the club by playing someone who has swallowed a dodgy substance. He had an opportunity to rectify that by playing up to the victim who'd been made to suffer an injustice at the hands of UEFA, that would have been good business and had sponsors rooting for him like a comeback kid type of bullshit story. Unfortunately, his ridiculously immature and carefree attitude was in total contradiction to that persona. It could no longer fly. So he fucked that up himself too. There is now no upside at all for the club to play him, and potentially very big downside. So he goes. It's probably that simple.

To be fair, Ings hasn't been frozen out. These things are pretty cynical. If you freeze a player out, then you know after a while he'll snap and say something, and then you can shake your head and say, 'You see? He's so much trouble...' Sakho is a twit but I don't think he deserves too much flak for this.

The poor cunt just missed a european final and a fucking european championships on home turf because UEFA fucked up, and since then he's been kicked out of the side and clearly left to rot. You're a hard bunch of twats you lot.

It's a good job he's a bit shit anyway

Exactly this. He's not crying because he's not in the first team, he's crying because he's not in the under 23s. Harsh.

4 Managers have written him off and he's only like 25/26? Namely Carlo Ancelotti...one of the greatest around.

Yeah... I don't want him in the side, but surely you can see that he has justification for being pissed off?

But what if he deserves to be relegated to the reserves? Like his attitude and application and all that jazz isn't to the required standard to warrant being in the first team squad.

The point being made was that he's not moaning because he's been relegated to the reserves. He's moaning because he can't even get a game for the reserves, hence entirely frozen out.

Maybe he is treated somewhat unfairly. However in the end it doesn't make any difference, because his only route back to the team (if that's what he wants) is winning back the trust of the manager. I don't think Klopp is some kind of a monster who finds pleasure in humiliating his players; he had his (pretty legitimate) reasons for distrusting Sakho, had an honest conversation with him before the transfer deadline and offered to send him out on loan. Sakho refused, thinking that he can win his place back, but now 3 weeks after the transfer deadline passed he starts publicly complaining and talking about "lies"? That's the worst possible decision-making – if you can't help rocking the boat, don't step inside when you're given the choice!

I'm surprised at the lack of Sakho support here.

I'm sure there were numerous threads about him being our best defender, future Captain, amazing passing stats bandied around to prove he isn't clumsy in possession etc

Perhaps that was a different Sakho

I like Sakho but think he polarises debate. He's not as bad as people make out, he's been pretty good under Klopp, and he's not as good as people say to try and counter the detractors.

I think he has legitimate grievances with being left out, especially when he can't get a game for the under 23's, but ideally you'd want him to knuckle down. I like that he seems to care so much about playing for us. Better than some of the twats we've had contracted to the club.

I think he genuinely wants to stay and fight for his place, which is admirable, but he could go about it a better way. Besides, it will be hard for him to displace Lovren and Matip on current form.

He also got sent home from the US tour for being late and behaving unprofessional.
I'm guessing we dont know the full story either.
He then doesnt want to leave on loan to gain fitness and playing time, the same thing he is moaning about now.

Yeah, I get the frustration from the end of the season. Everyone would be fucking fuming.
But why make those comments about the "truth".. Just post stuff about that you're training hard and ready for your chance. If the manager has fucked you off for behaving like a mong - then dont contiune with the same stuff.

Look at Ming. Dropped yesterday afternoon but posts just hours after that the team needs support etc.
Professional.

Klopp clearly doesnt want players that are dispruptive and uprofessional. If Sakho cant change his ways then its his own fault imho.
