I thought you were a pissed up expat working in Shanghai!

What made you choose Shanghai to retire in, of all places...? family?

Just retired this December after 20 yrs in Shanghai - my business has declined over the past 3-4 years and was not worth continuing with all the hassle just to break-even.

Wife of 30 yrs is Chinese and she's close to family and all her friends here, so if she's happy then that makes life easier all round !

For me I can live anywhere if I have a camera and a computer, nowhere is too far to travel from here and some cracking locations are close by (Japan, Thailand, Nepal etc) 😀

Goal difference is usually a good indicator of how good the team is, irrespective of points. Chelsea have +27, we are +24, then it's Arsenal, Spurs and Man City all on +19-20. Man United is +9 – a huge drop off. So the GD indicates that it's really the top 5 in England right now with United quite a bit behind. And they are more likely to fall further behind of the leading pack on points than to catch up to them.

They've been better recently, it's true, but they would have to become really fucking brilliant to undo the damage of their disastrous start of the season, and there is no indication of that happening. Also, the reason they are decent right now is because after trying and rejecting all other options, Mourinho finally settled on a spine consisting of two 35-year-olds: Zlatan and Carrick. That's not a recipe for long-term success. They will finish the season in 6th and spend a shitload of money buying Jorge Mendes' clients in the summer.
