Liverpool winger Thomas Ince is a target for Juventus.

Ince, the son of former Liverpool and Inter Milan midfielder Paul Ince, is off contract in June and yet to settle on new terms with the Reds.

Tuttosport says Juve are aware of Ince's situation and are monitoring developments closely.

Juve GM Beppe Marotta is well aware of Ince's talents and confident he can settle quickly in Turin after his time in Italy as a child.

It wouldn't be their strangest signing of young winger, one of the other irish lads should remember the name of the irish guy that got signed by them - Ronnie?

Just had to wikipedia him, a five year contract? hahahaha.

They can have Ince if they pay top whack for Aquilani.

Fuck that....they can pay top whack for Aquilani like they agreed without us losing anything else. The days of us getting proper fucked on transfers should be a thing of the past!

Ince off to Italy to develop his other foot before coming back to the UK with Middlesborough. You heard it here first.

He OK- he could even be good.

Juve do these weird ones. I remember they had a serious look at Chris Burke when he was just breaking through at Rangers (another winger, now at Cardiff) and it was a bit, where the fack did that come from.

So should we sell then?

I think that at this point we shouldn't be too bothered either way.

He's looked decent at reserve level and there could be a reasonable player in there if he's developed in the right way, but we're not going to do that, so who cares.

That's about the size of it.

Ronnie O'Brien

Ronnie lives in Dallas now, having ended his career in the MLS over here.

He's a f$%!ing majestic footballer. And a lovely fella to boot.

Wasn't Ronnie O'Brien the lad who was winning Time magazine's "Person of the Century" vote until they removed him from the voting? .

Anyway Ince has some decent pace and looks skillful but needs a higher level than reserve football which he obviously isn't going to get here. I'm not really sure what they were planning for Ince . Wasn't the story that he wanted to stay out on loan with his old man's team but they wanted him to sign a contract extension before they would let him .Ince Snr then kicked off that the deal they offered was terrible and the club was holding him back by not letting him out on loan. So he stayed in the reserves and i gather he is just letting his contract run out . Doesn't really make much sense from either side really.

Anyway , the more interesting point is how do you develop players when the standard of reserve football is so poor and has very few games . Rafa and Mourinho used to bang on about having "B" teams like they do in Spain which would be perfect but obviously is never going to happen. I can only think of loaning players out but maybe for the full season , not just 1 or 2 month loans like most do now . Whatever , it's an area that really should be looked at but i doubt will be.
