Sir Nick Faldo - thoughts?

There's a lot wrong with the honours system, but if we are going to honour sportsmen from Paul Collingwood (for one shit performance in the final test of the 2005 Ashes Series) to every Olympic gold medalist we ever get, Faldo surely deserves his. If a golf major is the equivalent of a Gold Medal, then Faldo won more than Steve Redgrave. That coupled with his longevity, Ryder Cup record (as a player), his charitable work and his work with junior golfers, is worthy of a gong in my opinion.

Sir Kenneth Mathieson first please.

I'm sure we can all think of people we consider just as or even more worthy and most on here wouldn't disagree with you there. My question was, does Faldo deserve his? And my answer is if Chris Hoy can get one for 3 gold medals, why shouldn't Faldo for 6 major championships and a lot more besides?
