Interesting article on Pep's desire for a smaller squad, and why he prefers that. Nothing groundbreaking in there but interesting all the same.

I thought about this earlier today when I read that article about Guardiola and I thought, why don't the EPL just allow 11 players on the bench? Just like in the world cup. If not 11, how about 9?

It's almost impossible to have a "small" squad if you're also playing in Europe. You will need at least 23 players and those in the fringes will just have to be content with being left out.
Unless of course you increase the amount of players on the bench.

They don't have a large squad, a side like Forest or Brighton have a large squad. Chelsea have an unmanageable squad.
