I know Modo likes to mention him everywhere but this isn't about that. In fact, I'm banning any mention of transfer fees from this thread. Outlawed!

The kid is gonna be incredible for us this season, just fucking look at that pass on 2.55

For all the people clamouring for the sexy signings we've got one right here. I think he could be one of our players of the season

Yeh, he's gone a little under the radar because he signed so early, but I'm really excited to see him play, it's a shame he's not in the squad tonight, but I guess he's only just come back from England squad. Where do people think he'll play most, the Joe Allen position in central midfield, or as a winger, maybe even the number 10 role?

Furthest forward of a midfield three, I would have thought?

Joe Allen's. I think it's a position Rodgers sees we should be getting more goals and assists from. Lallana has the ability to dribble out of trouble and just enough pace to get away from his markers to do major damage from deep.

Imagine Lallana, having run his bollocks off, comes off at the 70 something mark and in steps either Coutinho and Allen from the bench.

He can play in the further forward midfield slot (in a 433), at the top of a diamond or supporting the striker, or on either wing. He fits into Brodges versatility thing perfectly

Can you also ban talk of who we should have signed instead please?
I would have preferred that we bought Yaya Toure. But then again Lallana has a better chance to be named Footballer of the Year. But I digress, position most advanced of a midfield trio me thinks

I worry he'll be wasted there, he'll be too far back, and he won't have much license to roam / do his thing.

Possibly. Against Southampton on our first match I could see him playing as the #10, in front of a midfield of Henderson-Gerrard-Coutinho, and behind a front two of Sturridge and Sterling.

Great video, some serious fucking skills there ! He's looks every inch a Liverpool player. And I'm delighted we have a player that can play equally well on either foot. There's a great big Fuck You Modo, right there !

He's silky as fuck. Can't wait to see him in action.

The fee has never bothered me as I believe he will settle quickly and we'll get 7 very productive years out of him.

-----------------Sturridge-----------------
---Lallana----Coutinho----Sterling---
-------------Can----Gerrard------------

I think that's what Rodgers is going for.

I expect to see the 4-2-3-1 more often this season.

You think we'll lose Hendo from the line up?

I think it will be more along the lines of:

----------------Sturridge---------------
Markovic-----------------------Sterling
------------Lallana----Hendo----------
------------------Gerrard---------------

With Coutinho and Lallana rotating between that role and the LW role. Allen for Hendo and Can for Gerrard. Maybe for bigger away games we would see SG, JA and JH all start with Lallana at LW..

What worries me is ryan has said him, allen and lucas are all fucking ace. And ballers or whatever bollocks language he's speaking/pretending to speak.

I'm not expecting great things from him, and I think he's a bit of a cunt after that whole going up the wall and complaining over clatterberg saying 'you've changed'. As long as he's decent and not a flop we're alright. I'm not sure if he'll ever justify the ***** we **** for him though.

I'm presuming he'll play a no.10 role for us seeing as we've now got Sterling/Markovic out wide? Not sure where that leaves Coutinho apart from on the bench, he's not going to straight off bench him when we paid that much for him.

Oi! Get teh fuck outta here!

That's an impressive compilation alright. We're going to have some proper sexy options playing behind Sturridge and Lambert.

Fee aside, he gives us options.

Wonder if will see more play alongside hendo, rather than on the wing with his vision and ability to run with the ball

Think Henderson will compete with Gerrard and Can for the second DM/CM spot.

This season should have taught Rodgers he cannot rely on Gerrard as the only body in CM.

I don't think so - I doubt he'll move Henderson away from a position where he's been so successful at, and where he showed his best contribution to the club to date. He's our energizer rabbit and pulling him back won't be capitalizing on that valuable aspect of his.

Assuming Lucas and Borini stay, and barring any additions in CF / WF, I think our depth list will look like this at the various spots:

CM1: Gerrard, Can, Allen, Lucas
CM2: Henderson, Allen, Lallana, Can, Suso, Teixeira
CM3/AM: Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling, Markovic, Suso, Teixeira
WF: Sterling, Lallana, Markovic, Borini, Suso, Teixeira, Ibe
CF: Sturridge, Lambert, Borini, Sterling

I'm not sure opposing managers will enjoy guessing how and who we're going to play next season. Even taking out the youngsters like Suso, Teixeira and Ibe doesn't make it a lot easier to guess.

Henderson is wasted at DM. England's biggest mistake at the world cup was playing him there next to Gerrard in a 4-2-3-1. He needs the freedom to make runs into the box. CM or CAM are the positions he will play this year.

I think he is tailor-made for us. If we can squeeze out a few more drops of end product from that forward line behind Sturridge, then Lallana, Sterling, Markovic and Coutinho could go some way to replace some of what we've lost in Suarez.

What I like about Lallana is that, contrary to it's usual meaning, Adam's versatility means quality across a number of positions and not just simply a Jack of all trades.
