So... No mention of...

Providing modo is an internationally recognised sportsman and brand ambassador for his employer, then I'm appalled with modo as well. Otherwise who gives a shit

Let's not be pretending this is a personal/private social media account. It's there for the brand and this is petulance.
Let’s not pretend this isn’t mass hysteria over nothing. He hasn’t deleted all references, why are you going on about like it’s mass wipe. His sociai profile is his, are you seriously saying Ronaldo’s brand is owned by Man united as an ex employer?

Honestly I wouldn't have been this hard on him if he wasn't being selfish as well. I think that's the part that bothers me the most.

And you will stamp on Mo’s kneck while he is down. Just not a fan of mob bully boy hate and agendas personally and happy to defend anyone on that, it’s a bit much.
Nah, not a fair description. You are creating a strawman.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

@rubans this isn't the first time Salah has used the the media/social media to express grievances. Did you forget the whole contract thing last season?

So? Point is you said he deleted references? Wasn’t clean wipe and secondly, his profile is owned by Mo and not his current employer.

First contract renewal, came out to the press pen for the first time ever to express dismay over negotiations. Weeks later his agent posted laughing faces at Klopp’s suggestion they were going fine.

Second contract renewal goes to the press pen after a game for only the second time to say he was more out than in.

We finally win a game and he's in a bad mood and willing to make a problem for the team in service of his own interests. That's the issue here, nothing else.

Slots going to be asked about this, and it's going to be a thing every time he's benched, or subbed or whatever, and he's a player that could be very useful to us and we are spending a fuck ton of money on. I think it could be better for everyone including Salah if he realizes that managing his minutes may actually allow him to be the centre of attention more and get more goals.

Slot has enough problems right now without his most high profile player having a huge problem with being benched against some shit team we smashed.

I didn't, the point is, he did this to purposely cause a fuss and he succeeded. The fans noticed.

Which fans? Don’t qualify your views as representing all fans. He deleted a few pics, changed his profile pic but missed fundamental points who owns a social media profile.

You're acting like its a coincidence and he didn't leave the game and want to protest against the fans by doing this childish move. Nunez did it last year too. Players are doing it increasingly as a form of distancing themselves from their club.

That doesn't smack of elite mentality to me.

I wasn’t bothered about what Nunez did either. Whole thing is childish but how is it a protest against fans? I don’t see it as that. Do you really feel scorned personally?

I have never even looked at Mo’s social media till Modo went on about him deleting LFC references..,

I still haven't looked at mos social media. I don't feel personally scorned. I care that he's authored a narrative that the press can run with for ages that is a distraction, when the whole team at every level right now needs to focus on pulling ourselves away from the lip of an abyss.

I'm not really arsed - but he did it to get a reaction, which is immature.

At the start of the season I'd have pointed to our system change not helping Mo, too much play going down the left, Mo being isolated on the right (as borne out by average position stats) and adjusting to life without Trent.
Next, I'd have said his form is way off, a big slump.
Now I'd say it's a funk, not something that will suddenly spark back into life. Slot has tried to let him play his way into form, it hasn't worked and because he is a selfish player (as most great goalscorers are) and doesn't track back (as most great goalscorers don't) then you can only justify carrying him if he is doing the business. He's not, so he needs time out of the side.
But all this sulking and passive aggressive social media stuff? That can get in the bin. Time out of the team is part and parcel of being a footballer, and you need to be professional about it (talk to Robbo or Gomez, hell even Darwin didn't behave like this). He needs to stop fucking about and start working harder at Kirkby. Not ready to write him off yet, but he needs to fucking grow up.
