Last night's baseball game apparently

Maybe they dug out the minutes of the meeting where Clarke said that all last summer's targets were utter shit.

But if Clarke does get it, the more likely explanation is that NESV have seen how much Citeh / Chelsea needed to win the league, fucked it off as a possibility and have decided to asset strip instead.

Talksport are reporting they've contacted the club directly & they're refusing to comment.

If he were staying I think it's fair to say they'd simply say so.

why pay dalglish off if that's the case (question mark)

Not that I'm for the idea. But what's the problem with Clarke? I have to say I don't really know enough about his capabilities as manager to say I definitely don't want him.

I'm sure I don't want him, I just need someone to explain why so I can jump on the bandwagon.

He's been assistant manager at a few clubs. He's been the manager of one club for one match - Newcastle.

If he's resigned they won't have paid him off.

I said earlier that if the rumour was true - that he's resigned as he has nothing to spend - they may well have put him in a corner.

But I don't really know what the fuck I'm on about.

Ha. The concern for me is not Clarke, who lets face it cant do much worse than our last 3 seasons. Its the fact that giving the job to him indicates no money at all.
None.

So? Haven't a few mangers done really well here without having managed other clubs before?

True but it shows an incredible lack of ambition and knowledge. Things were much different when we used to promote from within those days are long gone. Makes me laugh though - all those shouting "kenny Out" and saying get your Rafas, Joses, AVBs and Klopps in and we may end up with Steve Clarke. Christ that would be hilarious.

Think positive ... it will mean giving our kids more game, and we'll win the league with an average age of 23

Perhaps Clarke was largely responsible for our immediate improvement in style and performance when Kenny and he came onboard. And then later, when Kenny began to find his feet again tactically (after so long out of the game), Clarke's contribution diminished and so did our performances.

Wishful thinking entirely, of course. But who really knows other than the players and others inside the club.
