Stand And Deliver

I'm not being funny but you'd pay about that much to see a good concert which lasts longer and there's more probability that you'll be entertained. 39 fucking quid after the shite we've been served up all season? Piss takers.

If they're getting Champions League wages for playing Champions League football then the cunts should suffer a wage cut when not. They're partly to blame for putting us in that position in the first place. A simplistic view I know but still..

Also agreed, there is no way that Gerrard has deserved his 100k a week, or Lucas and Insua their 30k a week. I wonder what the Quagmire, who has appeared in only 15 games for us this season (with a lot of 5 minute cameos), is on per week? The only 3 who have deserved their wedge this season (on the whole) are Reina, Masch and Torres.

Who's the lowest paid first teamers anyone know? That's not a bad idea mind, immediate paycuts if they get knocked out of the cl.

Would never happen mind.

I remember I paid about £20 to see Marseille at Anfield. Europa tickets should be at the most £30.

The club is beginning to have a problem filling the stadium. There were a lot of empty seats at the Portsmouth match - I can't remember when I last saw this for a LEAGUE game - and I saw a few empty seats at the Lille match too.

I think the club may need to give consideration to their pricing policy.

Or just drop the new stadium plans 😉

There's no long-term problem with regards to the stadium. Liverpool fans could fill a 65,000 ground no problem.

Just not with compete mugs who the club are currently treating us like.

Not exacly selling like hot cakes.
Tickets available now without any previous European matches on your card.
Looks to be plenty available too with places in all stands.

Yep, there's been a few knocking round at £20/25 too, loads of people buying them to get the later stage tickets who really dont wanna go to this game.

What's so bad about Benfica?

They're a good side and we're not guaranteed progression. This was a Champions League fixture not so long ago.

I got my tickets. Row 3 in centenary by half way line..... I might be on the telly!!!!!!

It's not the fact it's Benfica, it's US playing Benfica.

I'd be there like a shot but I work till 8pm on a Thursday at the minute unfortunately.

I never understand this, you'd be 15-20 quid out of pocket just buying it and selling at half the price. If you get a £55 final ticket you are effectively paying £100+ for it and only attending a single game. Just go the game and support the team. Also, saving it for the later rounds?? It's the fucking Quarter Finals, only one more game at home on the way to the Final.

We work with one of the lads offering one.

Another two mates of mine have though, both citing their inability to spend less than £30 before & after on ale as a reason to avoid.

39 quid for a Benfica ticket. Cheeky robbing bastards.

Maybe so mate, but the reason they're charging that is because they know 40,000 people will pay it.

It will be interesting to see if the Benfica match is a sell-out. I don't think Lille was.

Edit: I have just had an email from the official LFC website: "Purchase your tickets now to watch Liverpool FC play SL Benfica in the UEFA Europa League, quarter final, 2nd leg at Anfield on 8th April 2010. Kick off 8.05pm!"
