Stand Up For The Ulster Men!

7-19 now.

Not that anyone is interested apart from me.

22-16 with 12 to go.

The last outhalf I'd want to be playing against in these circumstances is ROG

Luckily for Ulster Murray is being his usual self. Great pressure relieved by him holding on in contact

Thank ye Gods. Why McLaughlin didn't hook Humphs for Marshall I'll never know. Epic defense from Ulster. Epic.

Ferris got MOM but I thought Tuohy was more than his equal today. His tackling at the breakdown was superhuman.

Thats Ulster basically into the final then......

Munster look they could have a huge rebuilding job on their hands over the next few years.

You're probably right about Ulster mate, but I'll bet Toulouse thought the same. That's the Jockoes all over - hardly ever (if ever) challengers for top honours, but capable of beating anybody on any given day.

You're probably right about Munster as well, though TBF they've done amazingly well to put it off this long.

I thought Scotland were much better than their record suggested in the 6 Nations, and Edinburgh have got a good squad and Bradley as coach. They're the weakest of the semi finalists though.

I'm seeing a Me v Doc final on the cards. And if Leinster play the way they did yesterday they won't be beaten by anybody.

By now i know i shouldn't be, but i was pretty shocked when i saw the Toulouse result. It still amazes me that with sooooooo many good players they can fail to deliver on such a regular basis.

I hope Ulster go on to win it now, i really like the fact that they no longer seem to be in the shadows of Leinster and Munster. I watched the Leinster and Clermont games, and if they are are anything to go by, then we are in for a treat in that semi.

Barnes made a intersting point during the Leinster game, he said that he thinks that Leinster are a better "team" than the Irish national side, tbh i'd probably agree.

You played very well indeed, but lets not forget that you were playing against a Cardiff side that is in a complete and utter mess on and off the field.

That seems to be a French thing lately!

I was wearing my Ulster top today and I lost count of the amount of times I had blokes staring at it trying to work out what team it was. Olympiakos were playing at home and the metro was awash with guys wearing red. I was walking around confusing the locals.

Yup, once we get rid of the Munstermen and Prods we'll be flying.

Seriously though I think Barnes has a point, The Leinster backline was so much more inventive and clinical than the Irish backline has been at any time in the past few years (despite most of the players being the same ?). The play between Sexton, Fitzgerald, O'Driscoll and Kearney was simply excellent at times yesterday.

There has been a lot of hype about Zebo in Ireland (and he does look like he will be a fine player) but it was great to see Gilroy showing what we in Ulster know he can do- score amazing tries. He has a similar statistical record to Zebo (12 tries in 30 games for Z, 14 in 37 for Gilroy) even though Munster have dominated domestically compared to Ulster.

Zebo is on the fringes of the full Ireland team, yet Gilroy isn't even in the Wolfhounds. I hope they wake up to him; he has been a real find for Ulster. Cave's tackling at centre hopefully didn't go unnoticed either. He's another that I rate very highly and that could threaten an Ireland place.

Having said that, D'Arcy is there, and he needs replaced by both teams. When BOD hangs up his boots who will Leinster and Ireland have in at 12 and 13 I wonder?

For Ireland Earls stepping to 12 and Cave 13 for me.

It was a great try, I missed the start of his run because of the stream I was watching it on.

Clermont. We should have beaten them at their own patch this year, and if it wasn't for the phenomenal atmosphere influencing some of the reffing we would have. I'm confident we'd beat them. I think we've more of an inferiority complex when it comes to Leinster. It wouldn't be impossible to win against them by any means, but I fancy our chances against the French mob much more.
