Stop being a forum Knob

Can people stop ruining the forum by using their colloquial terms to describe teams or players. Please use the vernacular of the sport you are talking about. Keep word like roster for the others sports forum. Never attempt to use the word stud or gun in the football forum and always refrain from writing the words good and pick up in all forums.

Finally, can people quit being 'hilarious' by demanding 45mil plus Ronaldo for Suarez. Or people who suggest Messi as a target in numerous fantasy threads. We are better than that as a forum.

Kind regards,

Elitist cunt.

I agree with ILD. I now have "limited" mod powers i.e. they're only applicable in the Betting Forum but I would like to confirm that you cunts wouldn't get away with shit like this in the Betting Forum. You Football Forum peeps need to take a long hard look at yerselves - stop embarrassing SCM, remember you represent ALL the forums.

Any tips for the Stoke game lads? I think I might have a flutter, it's on my roster along with an outrageously good pickup at 10000/1 as replacement for Suarez, lad who plays for Barca, *taps nose*

@ltw

This wasn't directed at you.

Just a thread in general, but your reply of 'fuck off' seems to be an admission and leads me to believe you are guilty of the things outlayed in my initial post.

I've been watching a lot of documentaries over the last week that I haven't seen in years about what Europeans did in Africa ... I'm glad the same arrogant, elitist, 'be like us' attitude has changed so dramatically ... It gives me great hope (see redhorizon, I'm an optimist!)

Ltw, I'm not being xenophobic in any way. I live in another country where I'm a huge minority.

I follow sports over here and use the vernacular associated with those sports and educate friends with the terminology associated with the sports I know.

I was a baseball game last week and was using terms associated with that sport. I was throwing terms like crowding the plate and the bases were loaded around as if it was no ones business. My point is that we should use the terms recognized as associated with the sport or educate. That's all.

From poster x,

Ghost protocol.

Yep , pretending rayheem and sterling are different players is done. As in Neymar on loan, Downing to Barca.

We've a vault for all time forum nostalgia. That shite above wouldn't make the general chat.

nah - that doesn't work because that assumes your language for footy is THE language ... you're going to tell a south africa, or australian, or yank that it can't be called soccer (especially considering the term's history)? let people be. if you don't want to, have a big brother vote and kick off the non-conformists.

What? I call it soccer. I'm from Ireland and we've our own football at home. It's the vernacular for my country. But if I was in England I'd call it football.

I'm not making any big statement man. Nor am I threading on anyone's language or customs. Just cleaning up the forum with my new vigilante ways. The Irish kick ass. No special power and may or may not fancy Chloe Moretz.
