Given Hendersons age, Milner with 1 more year and Ox possibly leaving I think we should factor in continuity and familiarity with our set up and tactics.

Klopp seems too loyal to his players to a fault. It does not feel like he will sell anybody in the squad unless they want to go, much like Divock, Phillips and Neco etc.

He gave Adrian a new contract and everyone could see what a liability he was. It seems training hard, being committed, being a good influence buys you alot of time with Klopp, even if you are not that good. And Milly, he has lost his legs, but Klopp seems to want him for another season?

I don't think he will sell many players this season out of his own accord. The way I see it, Divock and Phillips will go because they want to. I suspect Klopp might have detected the sulk in Ox and will therefore try to move him on. Gomez will go if he asks to, if not Klopp will persist with him. Same for Bobby.

I think that's about it unless some crazy bids come in for certain players.

I am not sure that's the best way forward for the club though. We need to secure our assets and move on the dead weight if we want to continue progressing. Loyalty to players past their prime will not help in achieving that.

I do suspect that's one of the reason Klopp could see himself moving on in 2024. I don't think he has the heart to start culling his squad for its own good.

Yea, as much as we all want to sell certain players immediately I’m glad Klopp has this loyalty.

It’s a multifaceted thing, you’re telling prospective signings we’re not going to Lukaku or Sancho you, we’re a safe destination and our manager isn’t fickle. Klopp will keep you, improve you and never scapegoat you. Plus we also generally sign good guys so we never have to go down the route of stroppy exits.

We got here due to his culling, so I think he makes the player understand that the time has come.
