It's like recording everything you ever say or do and every time something goes your way you play it back at someone, half the time you are the playee and half the time you are on the receiving end.
It's a great way to stay stuck in the past and a great was for people to never say anything meaningful as they are too windy of having it dredged back up for everyone to have a laugh at.
