Sunlit Uplands

Read that the UK owe the EU 47 billion € after Brexit.
Thats…. really something..

Besides Brexit-in-chief liar Cummings admitting Brexit might have been a mistake, it's good to see us taking back control of our borders by paying the French even more money to do it badly for us. If only there was a way we could send asylum seekers back to the first country they could have requested asylum. You know, like the EU Dublin III regulation. But no we can't do that because we've left the EU and illegal migrant numbers are flying up. The irony is fucking hilarious. The gammony shaded jowls of Mark "I was in the Territorial Army in Uni " Francois must be absolutely shaking with rage

As for Northern Ireland

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-57916659

"Brussels says the issue could be solved if the UK agreed to follow EU food standards - known as a Swiss-style deal.

Lord Frost says the UK is not prepared to concede control over food standards and wants what is known as an equivalence deal - where the EU would accept British standards as being as good as its own"

You have to wonder why they would not sign up to EU food standards ? Probably so they can lower ours to the point where we can get fed the shite food that will pour out the US and other countries but their mates can make loads of money from.

We'll be scrounging around for meal worm and processed spam, while our overlords dine on lobster.

Where is the Mark Frenchie these days? Are the rumours about him still knocking about?

Where are all the uplands though ? The only thing that Brexit bellends have come up with so far is "vaccine rollout" (which we could have done anyway) or some car battery plant which the EU are building in their droves without having to pile on backhanders from the government.

Farming is fucked with nobody to pick stuff, fishing is fucked, haulage companies are fucked, hospitality is fucked from both Covid and now a lack of staff. Where are the uplands ?

A select few billionaires got even richer. Hurrah!

And so it begins...

NHS threatening strike action over a 3% uplift for all
Police issuing a vote of no confidence in Priti Patel because they didn't get a payrise.

Failing to recognise that the economy is fucked, but every man for themselves now in the public sector.

I do wish they've have given everyone who had to don full PPE in the NHS a one off bonus of say 5% of their salary on top of the 3% payrise. But the police can fuck off... 90% of them will be like "I want a payrise... but I don't want to increase taxes to pay for it".

Yeah Mark Francois hasn't been on news lately because he's a rapist. If only anyone could have seen the signs

The same public sector that worked their arses off during the pandemic and watched the Tories hand massive multi billion contracts to their mates? They well deserve a raise. 5% one off bonus, 5% of not enough is you know...not enough and 3% probably won't cover the inevitable inflation that's coming. If the money is there to pay off Tory mates it's their to pay police and NHS staff.

I don't disagree with the sentiment. Some top Tories have been corrupt at best. I'd love nothing more for them to be charged with fraudulent crimes.

Inflation is coming? It's already here, you don't need to wait for it to traverse the water in order to see it. They wanted Joe Biden. They gots Joe Biden. Frankly, those nurses and teachers can suck on it. Serves them right for making foolish decisions based on their feelings. Give them their 5% pay rise in feelings. They're real after all.

2% of their pay rise is in Thursday night claps. The other 3% is cash.

Boris Johnson: UK wants to rewrite Brexit Withdrawal Agreement to stop EU being ‘abusive’

https://www.politico.eu/article/bor...ithdrawal-agreement-to-stop-eu-being-abusive/

So you negotiate an agreement, telling the whole country that it agreement is the best deal possible, and it is "oven ready", you get parliament to sign off on it, and hard sell it to the country to "get brexit done" and now you want to renegotiate it...??

Some people thought Brois would get them a Unicorn. It turned out to be a miniature pony with a traffic cone suck on its head...

And now he is sending his people round in the dead of night to steal it back from you

Talk of them bringing in an app that will track what families eat and spend their money on, offering rewards and discounts to the goody goodies.

Why stop there? Why not bring in a system where all our actions in society are monitored and recorded, and good deeds are rewarded with "points"? It would be for our own good. Just get it done. I personally would be for that. I've got nothing to hide. If you're against it, you're a tinfoil hat-wearing granny killer, most likely.

Rewards like social credits?

How much do you think is influenced by local decisions made in the past 5 months versus globalisation in practice coming from a whole host of supply chain challenges?

I know you're still hurting that your name Donnie got beat, but you don't need to go around playing 'pin the problem on Biden' in the face of significant global issues. I'm sure that won't stop you though, son.

Almost as if you might have been better off if the biggest economy on the planet which represents one quarter of global gdp, if that country had you know maybe elected a president who was anti-globalisation, might have perhaps made a difference, made peoples lives better, who knows. But oh well, no use crying over spilt milk now, you live and learn, and you love to see it.
