You know it's a good thread when its combines Mario Balotelli and Woland's birthday.

Literally anything could happen at any time.

Anal deforestation is a singular physical sensation.

You could eat your dinner off it now. In fact I hope to prove that shortly.

If true, Ayre is on fire!...

Mark Mc ‏@MarkmaccaMc 1h Little rumour that mad Marios fee is lower than ten million..A lot less. Not a gamble if its true then.

True. And I guess someone could kidnap Piers Morgan. But no one would pay that ransom.
People would pay to keep him locked up.

What's the opposite of a ransom? Give me 1 million pounds or else I return him safely.

i guess it depends on what milan is paying for cerci ... both club and player need a break (mario needs out of italy) ... maybe it's cerci's fee and that's it.

Whee are all the Ian Ayre haters? Where are all the "the world is going to end because we haven't signed a big player" merchants?

We'll just have to see him in the suit and that wooly square tie they are all wearing now instead.

A half time signing ceremony on the pitch?

I know its at the Etihad, but if Ayres, Mario & BR sneak out onto the pitch with a fold up table & chairs and a hand held megaphone while all the city suits are distracted by the half time commotion, they could just pull it off

By the way, unlike many here, I think it's quite wrong to say that Mario is brainless. I actually think he's quite a clever guy. His observation that English football stadia are some of the best in the world but that our media is 'just trash' demonstrates someone who thinks on a different level than a lot of footballers. Yes, he seems to do a lot of daft and madcap things (or at least, he used to), but in some respects I think it's symptomatic of a bored young man's need for stimulation (beyond abusing his body with drink and/or drugs) as many many bored young men would tend to do.

Yup. I did worse things at age 21.

I put down the awesomeness in transfer dealing to Ian Ayre and Brendan Rodgers getting new bitches....

Its like we the fucking man now and we gonna take all your bitches and shit

Oh yes the tie! What was THAT about?? Doesn't go with the smart, tailored look at all.

I'm starting to see them quite a lot at work - not a huge fan to be honest but if I enter the world of tie wearing again (about to start a project where its a jeans and tshirt environment) then I might get one to give it a bash!

I think they look shit.

Hope I'm not quiffing here:
Andrea Pirlo says Liverpool FC target Mario Balotelli no longer a bad boy

[article=Liverpool Echo]Italian great Andrea Pirlo insists Liverpool FC target Mario Balotelli’s bad boy image is out-dated.

Liverpool have agreed a £16m fee with AC Milan for the 24-year-old striker after the club made a dramatic U-turn on signing him.

Reds manager Brendan Rodgers had dismissed speculation linking the club with a move for the ex-Manchester City man earlier this summer.

But Liverpool’s drawn out search for a new forward has led them to Balotelli who is now closing in on a move to Anfield.

The Italian hitman has a chequered past littered with on and off-field incidents and he has struggle to settle at one club.

But Pirlo, a team-mate of his with the national side, says he has seen a different side to Balotelli and believes he has grown up in recent years.

“Mario has matured since he has been back in Italy,” Pirlo said.

“He will be the first to admit when he was younger he made some mistakes - but he is not that player anymore.

“Anybody who still talks about him in that way is living in the past.”

And Pirlo believes Balotelli has the potential to flourish into one of Europe’s best strikers.

“I have always said that in the right environment he has the potential to be one of the best strikers in Europe.

“He needs to be given space.”

Pirlo added: “The media do not need to write a story every time he goes to the shops.

“The time has come to write only about what he does on the field.”[/article]
