The Italian stallion

He should have shot, poor decision I'm afraid.

In regards to scoring a goal maybe, but in terms of the bigger picture - trying to get Salah going, rebuild confidence, squad harmony, keeping Salah, then it was clearly a tremendously selfless, team spirited thing to do which you could easily argue is more important than the slightly increased chances of scoring from Chiesas position.

Maybe, but his angle was not great and, the WHOLE time he had the ball, he was looking for Salah. I think it was because we were 2-0 up.

Says a lot about him. ESPECIALLY since he's being treated so badly by Slot and a goal would have been great for him
I like Chiesa but the way the team has been playing I'd preferred the 3rd goal.

I think that showed that he's not greedy enough to be a top goal scorer. He needs to be more ruthless, and shoot and score a lot more. Otherwise he'll be the guy that people like, but never actually plays very much.

People chose to use it against him, or for him. My head goes into a spin.
I think he should’ve taken the shot, but he also put it on a plate for Salah.
Both good.

If you have a team of players as you describe, you dont have a very good team.

You have no one passing, no one trusting and therefore nobody being successful.

He should stay the same. The manager should see the positives in him and needs to play him.

Our best forward line of the last decade (and beyond) consisted of a centre forward that was very happy passing the ball to Mane and Salah or anyone else in a better position than him, for the good of the team.

I mean, yeah, if he can create as much as Firmino, then great. He's competing with Wirtz for that spot, would be surprised if his ceiling is anywhere near his, or Firminos.

Not sure, I've seen him take his chances in similar situations too.

With more playing time, and the confidence coming with that, he probably would have shot.

Maybe, his goal scoring record isn't great through his career though. My point still is, if he wants to make it here, he needs to be really greedy and effective to stake a claim, he'll be hard pushed to get ahead of anyone else if not, everyone else has a far better goal/assist rate than him.

I thought he had contributed a lot in the little playing time he has had? Are you sure about your last statement?

If you look through his career, he scores one in every 3.5 games, the most league goals in a year is 10, that's not good enough. He's 28 years old. I'm sure.
