Woohoo!

Season starting in a couple of months but training camp starting soon.

Biggest story so far of the offseason is 'The Decision' and the formation of the Miami Friends.

Also, Carmelo looks like he will be traded soon, speculation is that the Nets are favourites.

A'mare, Lee, Shaq all changed teams as well.

Yao Ming back from injury, will be interesting to see how he is.

Mavs really loaded themselves in the front court to combat the Lakers' height and length.

Lakers make some really astute signings, will be interesting to see if it all comes off.

GO LAKERS!

Ha ha, I think we only signed Tyson Chandler ... Surely that's not 'loaded'! 🙂

I think the Lakers need to be favorites. Also, Miami will struggle as every team will be out for them.

ALso changing the thread title to make this THE nba thread

Mavs re-signed Haywood too. Good player that.

Objectively, I would think Lakers are the favourites too.

Will be interesting to see if James can average a triple double this season, see if Durant continues his excellent form and how the Celtics will cope with the O'Neals.

Haywood was here last year, and disappointed to be honest. I will be surprised if he aveages 10 ppg and 15 rpg.

Durant is phenomenal ... and Lebron won't do as well as last year stats wise I Think.

Sigh, Liverpool is in such a mess that I only have the Lakers to look forward too (and the Yankees too ;D).

I think Haywood will do well this season, don't know why just have that feeling. Maybe it's because Chandler is here to relieve some pressure on him.

Durant should win both scoring titles and MVP this year.

The Suns have downgraded considerably. That coupled with the state Liverpool's in means a season of misery for me. I fucking hate sports.

And the Cowboys too, is it? 🙁

I'm surprised you don't cheer for Man U or Chelsea, based on your USA favourites... 😉

he's a niners fan mate.

Ouch.

To be honest, I only started supported the Yankees and Lakers because their games are telecast here the most.

Impressive showing from Rondo. 17 assists which is 2 more than the whole Heat team. Teething issues for the Heat but they will get better. They will miss Miller though.

And my Lakers won! Impressive showing from the bench.

May we assume that you're going to be a Red Sox fan from now on then..?

DeWayne Wade, coming out saying they were never going to go 82-0.

Really, could have fooled me by the way they acted all off season.

They did win tonight, so they'll go 81-1 now I guess.

Fuck the Yankees.

Anyone know much about this tiago splitter chap?
I am watching him play tonight for the first time.

I like what I see so far, defensively he is solid, needs some work on the offense, but he looks promising.

Overall we have a few rookies on the team, and they are all contributing in some way, season looks promising.

What do you think of Tony Parker's extension Karl?

The extension was great. Parker may not be a true point guard, but he is a very good player, any team would be better with him.

Spurs looking very good so far, 5-1 start.

I think we will get to the conferance finals where we will lose to the Lakers.

Went to the Celtics - Mavericks game last night...

Watched my boys piss this one away - Gave Dallas 20 odd points off ridiculous turnovers... We have a (token) big white kid that looked about as useful as I do. Honestly, every time he got the ball, it resulted in a 4 point swing - The two we didn't get and the two they did!

Dirk is so frickin' good. SO good. Unappreciated, 'cos he's white and hasn't won the big one, but he's one of the best around.

Kevin Love had a 31 points, 31 rebounds game.

And 5 assists to boot.

First 30-30 game since Moses Malone in 1982.

Greg Oden out for the season AGAIN after going for microfracture surgery on his left knee. Which means he will have only played 82 regular season games out of 328 in 4 years.

It's unlikely he will be back in Portland next season, they didn't pick up the option on his contract for next year. Feel for this guy, was supposed to be Portland's franchise center for the next few years. Now all he's getting is Sam Bowie comparisons.

Watched MSU-Duke in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge last night. First time seeing a full match of Kyrie Irving. Ridiculous. If he stays for his sophomore year and plays next to Austin Rivers, Duke are going to be even more sensational than they are now.

I'm going to DVR it and take a look tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing if the Heat are as poor as they've been described

Yep. Live on ESPN over here in a couple of hours.

I'm hoping he tosses the talc and causes a riot.
He did but there wasn't any riot, disappointingly.

What an ass.
