How does everyone feel about Marcus Thuram. He is 27 now, has a 1 in 3 record across Germany & Italy. Seems to have the physical attributes for PL. Dont know how much will he cost but Inter do tend to sell one big player each year and with Inzaghi gone could be in for a long rebuild.

Yeah, there is a good player there and at 24 there is some unlocked potential. Can see us being interested if he’s available for a decent fee. Averaged a goal every 94 mins for PSG. 19 goals from barely any starts all season.

I agree it's a bit dull, but there's not many huge names that are in a position to move. Best was wirtz but we wrapped that up quick to be boring

Wirtz? It was like 2 (max 3) weeks from us being not even linked, to him signing. It seemed an eternity because it went from no interest to "he only wants Liverpool and everyone else has dropped out" in like 2 days.

AFCON is a bit of a downer but let’s be honest. We’re not signing player B if player A is more suited to the team but is eligible for AFCON. That isn’t what’s best for the team.

Losing Salah AND a new striker eligible for AFCON for SIX weeks? That isn't what's best for the team! That could effectively derail both the PL and CL and is every reason to avoid another African player at least until Salah is done.
