The Title Race 25/26

How is it 60%? Oddschecker says 6/5 which is 45%...?
They take the current league table, run 10,000 simulations to the end of the season. Currently, the sims have us winning 6,000ish times. It can swing quite quickly. Towards the end of last season we were hitting 97% and some on here were still saying nah, we will blow it.

Annoying Arsenal getting a goal. A defeat at home to City I think would have battered their confidence.

Zooming out losing to us and drawing to Vity are pretty normal results and don’t mean they are goosed.

Ah yes but both teams dropping 2 points is so much better than arsenal dropping three - and at home too.

Well City not winning is always good and them being 8pts behind already is delicious.

I’m more concerned about them clicking and going on a run that Arsenal but ya would have been nice for Arsenal to lose at home.

I'd be happy with

Oh God - not that again, didn't you learn anything from last season ? *head in hands*

Great start (obviously) and nice to see our likely competitors dropping points. I think we will be helped by the fact the upper mid table is all so capable of beating each other every game - but again that might also go against us.

Up until 2-3 years ago "beat the dross, win the league" was a sensible statement but that was when there was arguably a clear top 4/5 and the rest were easily a level below.

These days any of Brighton, Bournemouth, Palace, Spurs, United, Newcastle, Forest and even Fulham or Brentford could beat you on a good day.

So many points on the board from average performances can only be a good thing as we can surely expect a period or two where we are in flying untouchable form too.

I think Arsenal are my favourites on paper if you look purely at squad and players. They have such a strong back line and midfield, with enough attackers who can play well. The weight of expectation is their downfall and we can hope that some challenging results in the league or CL will see Arteta start to over-experiment.
