I heard it's €30M only in the last year of his contract (2023). It would not make much sense otherwise.
Someone on Twitter called him a German Vardy and I think that's pretty apt – this is a striker who thrives on space behind the defensive high line, where he can use his pace, perfect for a counter-attacking team. But not as sure about him leading the line for a team that mostly has opponents defending deep – I think this is why Bayern has decided to pass on him for now.
