Top level manager?

Dont be fucking stupid Sumo.

Klopp and Ancelotti are out of work, why would we pay money to get Harry Munk.

I'm excited to have a manager that could attract DEFINITE top tier talent (you know not just potential).

Its bad enough that we cannot offer champs league, we NEED a big name manager to help attract the players of the right calibre, we haven't had one since rafa...

I'm hoping for Ancelotti but will be more than happy if Klopp arrives.

And step 1:

sort the fucking goalkeeper position out.

Is Klopp that big of a draw for players. Ancelotti I can see top tier guys wanting to work with him cos hes been at the very top over a decade and has a great reputation everywhere. I don't think Klopp has the same pull, he might convince some of his old Dortmund players to follow him but then he couldn't convince many of them to stay when they got a better offer so I think hes still a level below Ancelotti in terms of player recruitment.

he's one of the most respected managers in europe! course he would!

Rumours at/around the match were that Koeman was being lined up.....I'd already said last week I expected the fuckers to go in for someone like Klinnsman.....then I see this morning Di Matteo is getting linked (albeit by some rag).

Im very VERY happy if its a Klopp-Ancelotti shoot out

Theres definitely more chance of a top player joining the club because of Ancelotti than there ever was with Rodgers. I dont think itll be a particularly decisive differentiator but itd help.

As would becoming an established top 4 side. We would see plenty of Sanchez esque signings with the above.

What if FSG are waiting to see if Jose gets sacked so that we can hire him ? I actually think we are either waitinf for that OR gonna sign the southampton/swansea manager - its in the FSG DNA to do something like that.

It's not the manager that is the problem- it's the city.

It's both (but the biggest factors are cash and the kudos that comes from playing for a top club).

Rafa showed that having a manager that players respect goes a long way when trying to recruit players.

I don't know whether Klopp carries the same sort of respect in Germany / Europe that Rafa did at the time in Spain. Does he?

Well wouldn't they wait for Jose leave before firing Rodgers? Seems a bit daft to sack our manager first and then wait and see if their target becomes available.
They sacked ROdgers after Everton because they would very likely have their next guy already organised.
Which makes me think it's Klopp.

Maybe - Rafa won with Valencia but inherited a good squad that was able to compete with barca and real. But Spanish league is more popular than German league so players around world will have known about Rafa more than Klopp.

It is FSG we are talking about ? Old henry is a commodities trader so probably gambling on jose getting sacked this week.
