Yes but the point I believe @tombrown is making he only stayed because he would have been carrying his kneecaps in a Tayto bag if he had left.

Yep… he literally could walk away from the club.

He could probably crawl, limp or be pushed in a wheelchair, but walking wouldn’t have been an option.

Well, yo be fair to Trent he has settled any notion of ever being a debate on who was Liverpool’s greatest ever RB.

Steve Nicol, not even a question now.

Burnley got a lot of praise for conceding only 16 goals in the Championship last season. We won what's now the Premiership title conceding the same number of Goals Against with a makeshift duo of Stevie Nicol and the late Gary Ablett at CB for most of the season.

I think the 16 goals season was 78-79, long before Nicol & Ablett.

I imagine we did that so we can just let him shuffle off relatively quietly and not get the full Bobby/Milner/Wini treatment on the last game with a presentation of all the trophies he won.

I hope.

I sincerely hope so. The media will have a field day. We can't take that chance and honestly does the cunt even care about lifting the trophy?

So, if this follows the normal pattern:
Tuesday - there was a party, but Arne Slot didn't know anything about it.
Friday - there was a party, Arne Slot popped in briefly but didn't stay or take part
Friday week - Arne attended the party, but he didn't have anything to drink
2 weeks later - OK, Arne organised the party and paid for the coke and the strippers, but it was completely within the rules.
August - Arne resigns in disgrace on the eve of the new season.

Why weren’t we invited to the party? The 2 weeks later one?
